What is the EASIEST way to build a professional looking online newspaper for online. I only have $600 to spend- a web designer costs $1500- I don’t have the money. Does anyone know of a good way to accomplish this without going broke? Not really good with html- or anything- I tried wordpress but I can’t tweak the templates, help

So, I design blogs, and the standard is to pretty much use WordPress and manipulate it to fit what you need.

I want to start an ecommerce site and sell products, but I’m finding it very hard to find the “ecommerce” equivalent of WordPress. I am experienced with HTML, CSS, and WordPress, and I’m trying to use the wp-e-commerce plugin, but it is very limited. I HATE Magento and Zen Cart, and wanted to know what alternatives there were, free AND paid. I can look around myself, but it feels like there’s hundreds and since they take a little bit of investment, I’m just worried about investing in a cart that isn’t the best to work with in the sense that 1) I can change the design entirely to a custom template I make in Photoshop, and 2) I can easily implement functionality that the cart has anywhere. (For example, in WordPress if I need to have certain articles appear in a certain place, it’s very easy to just write a loop and pull the content I need. I would love that if I could find a shopping cart that I could make look however I wanted, and could easily implement functionality.)

If anyone could point me not just to ANY cart, but one that has a lot of references if I get stuck (like if I get stuck with WordPress, I can just go to the codex and millions of forums).

Thanks!

I once cam across a free blog tutorial and it taught the user (such as myself) how to create a money making blog. Does anyone know of a good one that I can follow/use for free here online? I prefer to use WordPress and I think I want it to be self hosted too. Thanks for your help in this matter.

Looking for an online job or gig that requires graphic designing, wordpress, html coding, or anything of that nature (setting them up). Very experienced w/ both. At this point, I’d do anything.

Free online wordpress tutorials. This course is at www.seowebmeeting.com and takes you from start to finish.

currently i use ubernote.com, because i couldn’t find any way other than logging into cpanel and making a text file, the problem is that 1.it takes a long time 2.everybody can see the file, putting a password on every note i make takes a long long loooooong time too 3. i dont want to enter my cpanel’s password in public computers, i want a safe way, so if they stole my pass they can only access my notes
my fantastico doesn’t provide anything like this
i have reached the limit of my databases, but if there is no other way than creating a database maybe i can make my two wordpress installations use the same database, but if there is a way out of it it’ll be really better

I want to create an online store with wordpress. i read many articles online about WP-eCommerce. I’m not sure how to use it, i know nothing about programming & i have no experience in hosting.
i want an easy step by step tutorial to help me create the store.
I read it is only about plug-ins & uploading themes to my hosting.
I’m not sure what to do, I don’t wanna pay money for the domain & the hosting then realize that it is hard for me to work on the store & upload it to the hosting.
all tips are appreciated.

I’m a student of Information Technology. I know HTML, XHTM, CSS, Javascript, PHP & MySql.
I have done some good projects using WordPress. I can work as a site Administrator, or SEO blog -forum-profiles poster or … So where to go to work 5 $ per 3-5hours of work everyday???
I prefer site admin or programmer jobs, prefered payment options: moneybookers or wire transfer.

So, any idea???

I am attempting to add a page to my wordpress weblog displaying my amazon wishlist – http://juniorbonner.net/blog/wishlist/ – using this plugin – http://www.lazyi.net/projects/amazon-wishlist/

I need some help with editing the css to tidy up the display, as I haven’t got a clue. It’s nothing major and would probably take someone who knows what they’re doing about 5-10 mins.

Is there anyone here who can help, or anywhere I can get such help?

Thanks

My website is full of php files.

Any novice or newbie or beginner would have no idea how to use or edit them

But i do need people to add data to a php file without using CMSs like wordpress or joomla.

Are there any scripts or ways of doin this?

A simple tutorial on how to install wordpress and joomla on a server plus getting your site online

I pretty much asked the question above but I was just wondering if something like that existed anywhere and if possible for free?

We intend to develop the project of an online children’s book catalogue. We need to classify the entries according to different categories: age, topic, author, etc. We will include the book cover, description and keywords. User should be able to search and sort items by title, author, date added, etc.
I have tried Alexandria, but it seems a bit complicated. I also tried WordPress, but it seems it does not handle categories very well. Also had a look at Joomla, couldn’t figure it out. Should we go to the expensive and complex Filemaker alternative? Is there any Content Manager System that would do the job?
We need something as simple as possible, even if we cannot have all the featrues.
One should be able to assign one book to more than one category, i.e. Author: Dahl, Roald; Title: The Twits; Topic: Humour, Hygiene, Family… ; Age: 8+
Thanks a lot!
