But I wasn’t ready. I didn’t know what to do. And, if I knew what to do I didn’t know how to do it. I had to get past that stumbling block. And if you are anything like I was when this first caught my eye…you aren’t ready, either.So what do you need to know to make your way in Internet Marketing (IM)? This article covers ten skills that will make your career in Internet Marketing a lot easier.By the way, you haven’t been told this before. These ten “things” are not skills that you have to be an expert in. You just need to know your way around in it. That’s one of the keys to getting rid of that whole overwhelmed feeling that nails us all at times.First, you have to get to know the language used here. I found a good online internet marketing school and put myself in there! I studied and learned and I think that had a lot to do with my sticking with it after my horrible start. (If you search article directories for Riley West as author you can laugh at my horrible start. The title is “How to Get a Good Start in Internet Marketing.”)The second thing you have to learn is how to put up a simple one page website. Don’t panic! It’s easy. Once I got over being intimidated by the thought I just got into it and banged one out. The first website I made was pretty bad. The second a little better. Now I have done 40 or 50 and my sites work just fine. I keep them simple.Using a webpage editor isn’t much more difficult than a word processor is to learn. You’ll see how it’s sort of the same thing. Just do it! You’ll be proud of yourself.The third thing you need to have is a domain name and hosting. That’s simple too! Your domain name is your website internet address (URL) and your hosting company is the outfit that puts your files on their servers that are hooked up to the net.Fourth, the auto responder. Sounds odd but isn’t. All marketers use them and it seems that most use an outfit called Weber. This ingenious software allows you to stay in communication with your website visitors by email and increases the odds of you making a sale by quite a bit! It’s a known statistic that the average sale is made on the 7th or 8th contact.So, if you want to be way below average in sales just DON”T uses an auto responder! Without an auto responder you’ll only make one contact and you won’t have their name! Automatic follow-up. Very effective and easy too…once you have worked through it.The fifth item necessary for success in IM is a keyword tool. Use Googles keyword tool. It’s FREE, it’s easy to use and it has excellent tutorials. Google is a huge company on the net and they have many things for you, for more details visit to www.outsource-beginners.com most of which are FREE! Try to beat that. Get familiar with Google. You’ll be glad you did. Another thing I recommend is Google Analytics, also free. But that would make eleven and this is the “ten” list.Sixth skill to acquire – Traffic Generation. It’s absolutely critical. If you have the best website in the world it won’t sell a thing unless somebody comes to it. But not just anybody. You want “targeted traffic.”Here’s the example I like. If you are selling a dog training program you’d want people with dog problems to see your offer!The internet allows us to drive the correct traffic to our websites. That would be people who want to buy what you have to sell. There are dozens of ways to drive targeted traffic to the right offers…and you will find that some methods suit you well and others that don’t. No problem. Pick one method and concentrate on that. Then, pick a method to concentrate on. Stick with it until it works. They all work, you just have to get it right.The seventh thing you’ll want is a way for people to buy something from you. I mean pay for it. Give you money! There are many ways. A simple way is Paypal. It’s what I use. Just open an account. It’s FREE! They charge you a little transaction fee per sale. They handle it all.I think for number eight we should start a blog. You can use Blogger or WordPress.org, since they are free, for more details visit to `the-forum-list.com but I recommend against it. If you don’t have your blog hosted on your own account then you don’t have full control. Get this… WordPress.org doesn’t allow affiliate links or selling! And we are Marketers! So, remember, wordpress.com hosted on your own hosting company is the way you want to go.Blogs can be low maintenance traffic generators! When you write about your topic (say Internet Marketing) your post becomes eligible for the SERP’s (Search Engine Page Results) when someone types in “Internet Marketing.”Google spiders like blogs. I do too! So my setup is that my main site is a wordpress blog hosted by a company I chose. My blog is surrounded by salespage websites with links to the posts. An elegant solution. Try it!It looks a little like a solar system. The Blog is in the middle and the salespages are the satellites.The ninth skill you’ll need is FTP. File Transfer Protocol. Don’t panic. It’s easy. At first I uploaded files to my site by hand, one at a time, the hard way because I knew how to do that. Don’t even bother learning the hard way. Use FTP. By the way, the one file at a time by hand method is very cool when you want to make a small change on one page. I can correct a typo in 2 minutes. I just go right in there and correct it.Two of the very best FTP software packages are FREE! You cannot beat that price. Cyberduck or Filezilla. My guess is that when they are free you can call them anything you want!The tenth thing I think you need for a simple start to this business is a course of easy lessons that are designed to bring you from totally new to making money. I know…lots of people say they can give you this. I have only found two and I looked long and hard.These are the ten things I did. These skills are the ones I used to set up what I sometimes refer to as an online money making machine. I could have done better, though. I spent too much time studying and not enough time settling down and sticking with one thing.That’s what I’m doing now. I’m sticking with it. I’m moving it forward every day. My goal is to have my little operation making enough money on a regular basis that I can hire an assistant. There’s my goal. What’s yours?

Internet marketers are afraid to get their hands dirty. I’m not talking about illegal dirty. I’m talking about doing some hard work. So many want to take the easy way out. They want to set up some push button system where they can go hang out at the beach and let their business run on its own. www.perpetual-traffic-generator.com While it’s certainly possible to reach that point, it doesn’t happen overnight. The marketer first has to get into the trenches and get his hands dirty. How? Well, this article is going to touch on some basics.That’s the bottom line. If nobody knows that your site exists, I don’t care how pretty it looks or how good your product is. Nobody is going to know enough about it to buy anything. So establishing a web presence is critical. Okay, so how do we do that? Well, there are a number of ways.Putting up your own blog is a great start. Google loves blogs so it’s easy to get yours indexed fairly quickly, especially if you use their Blogspot blog. Of course you could also use WordPress or even your own domain and put your own WordPress blog on it. Whatever you decide to do, starting a blog will get the wheels turning as far as developing a web presence.Another thing you can do is set up your own Squidoo lens. Squidoo is another site that is in favor with Google. A good lens can get indexed within a day. If you’re in a niche that doesn’t have a lot of competition, your Squidoo lens could hit page one in a day. It’s not hard.Then of course there is advertising it. www.free-ad-system.com   There are many ways to promote your product or service on the Internet, including articles, ezine ads, pay per click and classifieds. The more advertising sources you use, the more people who will see your ads. The more people who see your ads, the more people go to your site. That’s how a web presence is established.And the above only scratches the surface. You also need to make sure that you work on building your opt in list and creating products and services that are of quality and that people really want. This all takes work…lots of it. Anybody who thinks that marketing online is easy work has some serious misconceptions and is going to be in for some culture shock when they realize what it really takes.

With time the importance of Internet marketing strategies has increased with the growth and importance of the Internet. Most established companies are competing online space today and seek to adopt web-marketing strategies to increase traffic to their company’s homepage. Internet marketing helps add potential customers and the number of quality leads to your website as well. Small and medium enterprises can adopt Internet marketing and advertising strategies to generate better business and to increase the quality and quantity of their customers.Internet Marketing ObjectivesSMEs can use Internet marketing to do one or more of the following:· Communicate a company’s message about itself; it’s products, or its services online.· Conduct research as to the nature (demographics, preferences, and needs) of existing and potential customers.· Sell goods, services, or advertising space over the Internet.Here are six considerations how SMEs can plan their Internet marketing plan:1. Objective of Internet Marketing Plan: Create an online community for your target market? How much money to have to spend each month on this Internet marketing plan? Having a goal and budget in mind will make your marketing more effective.2. Marketing Funnel:The most successful online business owners have a marketing funnel (think of it as an upside down triangle) through which they “funnel” clients. The process begins from the wide top of the funnel, representing low-cost products or free give-always, and moving clients down through the funnel to the narrower portions, which represent gradually increasing investments from the clients from your higher-priced products and services.3. Your Competition:Knowing and understanding where you stand among your competitors can you help you strengthen your marketing message. Do a keyword search for the terms someone might use to find your business online.4. Branding Your Business:Your domain name can either help you be memorable or cast you into a sea of “brand less” solutions. At a minimum, you’ll want to buy both your personal name as well as the name of your business in the .com version, if it’s available. 5. Online Business Management Technology: Do you have access to the appropriate services and technology that will help you sell your product or service online? Depending on your marketing plan, you may also want to investigate email newsletter distribution services, online appointment setting services, stand-alone auto responders, blogging software, article submission sites, online press release distribution services, website content management services, and links exchange management services and software.6. Internet Marketing Strategies:There are countless ways to do this, including: pay-per-click purchases (in which you buy a keyword at a search engine and pay for placement on that search engine for that keyword and pay for each visitor who clicks on that link and is sent to your site); organic search engine listing ranking (in which your site comes up at the top of the non-sponsored listings on a search engine by having keyword rich descriptions in the page title and page description meta tags and then optimizing each page for no more than 3 keywords in the first 250 words on a page); well-written email newsletter that is published on a regular basis; submission of articles on topics related to your target market to article submission directories; regularly post entries to a blog aimed at your target market, full of content discussing issues related to that target market; series of pod casts containing interview with experts of interest to your target market; ongoing series of teleconferences containing value-added content for your target market; submission of online press releases with new tips information for your target market; exchange relevant links with others in different industries with the same target market and much more.

In this article I want to show you how you can easily create your own money making home based internet marketing business in 4 easy steps – without breaking the bank.

 I’m going to assume that you don’t have much spare cash to invest in your business (or that you you want to create your business with as little up-front investment as possible).

I admit it, I don’t like spending money where there are free or low cost alternatives, so if you’re like me and don’t want to bankrupt yourself but DO want to create an online income from internet marketing, then this article is for you.

It doesn’t really matter whether you just want to create a little extra money to supplement your 9 to 5 earnings, or whether you want to develop a full time money making empire; the principles of making money online from internet marketing are the same.

Step 1 – Get your product(s) to sellPerhaps the cheapest way to get products to sell is to create your own ebooks or reports; this involves minimum upfront costs (just the purchase of a good pdf compiler, available from less than $20) and each report or ebook you sell represents 100% profit.

Alternatively, find a suitable product to promote as an affiliate (there is a huge range on Clickbank, or try Commission Junction). Marketing an affiliate program may well be the best choice if you’re completely new to internet marketing as you not only get a ready made product but will often get marketing materials as well. Using the affiliate marketing route, you will receive a commission for every sale you make (which could be up to around 75% of the sale).

Whichever route you choose, try to ensure that your products are for a market that is in demand and for which there are ready buyers.

Step 2 – Create your web siteEven if you have no experience designing and creating a web site, the days when you needed an in depth knowledge of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) coding have long since passed. If you have this skill then great, but it’s now very easy to create your site without any knowledge of HTML at all. There are numerous (free) web site design programs you can use – Microsoft’s Frontpage, Nvu (available from download.com) or the excellent MyFreeWebsiteBuilder are the best known examples – which are true visual design programs (i.e. what you see is what your get, aka wysiwyg) which don’t require any knowledge of HTML at all.

There are however a few rules to follow when designing your web page(s):

Sending good quality traffic to your site and it not converting into sales has to be one of the most frustrating things as an internet marketer. A number of reasons can cause this, of which poor site layout is one – visitors aren’t turned into customers and leave the site without making a purchase, so engaging the visitor is something you should always keep in mind.

Step 3 – Get your page(s) hostedYou could spend hundreds of dollars getting your pages hosted, but why do that when you can get quality, professional hosting for only a few dollars per month?

Try to ensure that whoever you choose to host your site provides an easy to use panel for uploading and editing your pages, has sufficient web space for your site to grow, and provides built-in email (so that your personal email remains seperate from business emails).

If you really want to get up and running with minimal cost, why not create your web site using the free hosting provided by WordPress? Although WordPress is intended for simple blogging, there’s no reason why you can’t generate a blog that is marketing related!

Step 4 – Get visitors to your web pagesOnce you have created and uploaded your page(s), your next step is to drive visitors to them. You could pay for ads using Google Adwords, MSN, or Yahoo, but why not start with generating your own free traffic? Join a traffic exchange (most are free for basic membership), create interesting articles related to your market and post them on article directory sites (free, and great for getting links back to your site).

It’s perfectly possible to generate a large and growing number of visitors just using these free methods.

Just remember when placing ads on traffic exchanges that you have a limited amount of text space to grab attention, so make sure the headline and subtext will entice viewers to click!

For best results with articles, compose them with a liberal sprinkling of keywords related to your topic throughout the text, and make sure you include a link back to your web page(s) in the resource box at the end of your articles.

Monitor the results of your traffic generation strategies, and apply your main energies to those that produce the best results first before spending too much time modifying those that are not producing results.

Once you have followed all 4 steps above, you should be well on your way to generating that extra income. Best of luck!

When most people think of an information empire, they automatically connect it to a massive amount of education.  For generations common knowledge said that you have to have a B.A., M.A., or better yet a Ph.D. in order to be an expert.  Some people mortgage their homes and work three jobs to string a line of alphabet soup behind their names.

But does a college degree define the word expert?  Isn’t a car mechanic with a decade of experience an expert?  Isn’t a builder with 50 houses on his resume an expert?  Isn’t a housewife who can plan and prepare immense holiday dinners that look delicious and taste even better an expert?

The limiting effect of the degree mindset According to a recent U.S. Census report only 27% of young people ages 18 to 24 enroll in college.  Conventional wisdom says the remaining 73% will remain in “blue collar” jobs and lower income status.  This attitude has a devastating effect on the goals and dreams of gifted individuals in this group.

An expert is simply someone with knowledge and experience in a field.

It’s time for broader outlook With the information explosion and ease of communication on the Internet, the word expert takes on the more practical meaning.  An expert is simply someone with knowledge and experience in a field.  He could be a gardener or a mason.  She could be a stay-at-home mom who is an avid jewelry maker or cake decorator.  Or maybe she’s the one who organizes all the events at her church.

Whatever the niche, these experts can create an information empire based on what they know and what they have done. Tips of the trade, shortcuts, and advice can lead to online seminars, training programs, and mentoring…each with a higher ticket price and each delivered online where there are no printing costs or postage rates.

Simple steps to get there 1.    Sit down and analyze your areas of expertise. (There will certainly be more than one.) 2.    Choose the one you find irresistible. Which one would feel like playing even if you had to work in that area all day long? 3.    Jot down a list of 20 vital tips that beginners would love to know. And a short paragraph about each tip. 4.    Buy your domain name. Try to get YOURNAME.com. If it’s unavailable, try YOURNAMEnow.com or YOURNAMEtoday.com. A domain name costs about $10 a year. 5.    Set up a web site using WordPress.com, a free blog service. The setup instructions are simple and easy to understand. 6.    Begin posting your tips and their paragraphs, one per day. 7.    Invite your clients, colleagues, friends, and family to stop by your site. 8.    Give your tips away for a few months, write articles about your topic and offer a free report. 9.    Create a larger product like a class or ebook and charge a small fee to download it. Build from there by offering additional products like a short e-book, a course that is a series of audio clips, or a video demonstration. 10.   Get into the information marketing pipeline by subscribing to marketing e-zines and visiting the blogs of the marketing gurus. Keep learning about Internet promotion and product creation and keep growing your information empire.

The first blog was created in 1999 by Evan Williams in San Francisco. Since then blogs have become a very mainstream tool for businesses. A lot of Big Business companies are turn to blogs. They are using them to give the customer a closer look at the day to day working of the company; then are also using blogs to ask their customers for feedback on different products or services. They found that blogs make the customers feel more like a person and less like a number or sale. With that being said, the most important realization they made was a blog will increase monthly sales. Blogs are a great way for any business to increase awareness and profits.   This is one marketing strategy I think more Network marketers and MLM distributors should take advantage of.

Most network marketers and MLM distributors are sending prospects to their replicated company sites and their live or recorded conference call. All these tools do is give you the false hope that prospects will magically sign up into your business. The reason this method have such a low conversion rate is most prospects have to know, like and trust you before they will even consider joining you or purchasing from you.

Blogs are a great way to close the gap between you and your prospects. They help brand you and not your company. Blogs will help a prospect get to know, like and trust you quicker. In order to do this correctly you will have to share picture, events and stories about your life. The prospects will have instant access into your life and get a better understanding of who you are by reading your blog. You will want to write blogs that give value to your potential prospect, sharing free tips and techniques to help them in their current business. This will make you look like a leader in their eyes. Don’t hold back the more secrets and techniques for success you share the better. After reading your blog prospects will what to click on your link to see what you’re involved in. Now when they click on your link to your company’s replicated site they are more intrigued and will to join or buy. Blogs are very easy to set up and are also very user friendly. Blogs are also a great way to send traffic to your site. There are three ways to set up a blog.

The first way is for beginners:

This way will not need any technical website knowledge or experience. You will be able to create your blog in minutes with weblogs. Two of the most popular weblogs providers are WordPress and Blogger. These sites will provide you with your very own site and prebuilt template for free. All you need is an email address and some topics to start. The advantage to using a weblog is they attract a different kind of user. One, which is extremely focused on the particular subject, they are more likely to buy or subscribe to your website. This way is free.The disadvantage is you will be put on their servers. This means you will have to abide by their rules. You run the risk of your account being shutdown.

The second way is for intermediate:

This way will require intermediate knowledge and experience with web development. It is pretty close to the beginner way however knowing php structure is a bonus. This way you will host your blog on an independent server like Go Daddy. When you’re setting up the hosting package on Go Daddy choose WordPress hosting. This way you are using Go Daddy’s servers, but still have the pre made templates and plug-ins of WordPress. This is much easier then building your whole site from scratch. The advantages are:

You are on an independent server, not WordPress’s. You can have ads promoting anything. You can use as many hyper-links as you want in the body of your blog. You don’t run the risk of you account being shut-down. There is more freedom to personalize your site.

The disadvantages:You will have to add all of the plug-ins to your site. You may have to know php structure. You may be frustrated more because you are in charge of your blog. Very few restrictions on personalizing your site. Costs money

The Third way is for Advanced:

This way you will host your blog on an independent server like above. However you choose to build it from scratch. You build your templates and plug-ins. The advantages are: You can really customize your site anyway you would like. There are no restrictionsThe disadvantages are:You have to fully know what you’re doing. Costs moneySo now that you know all about blogs. There is nothing holding you back from driving an insane amount of targeted traffic to your site and increasing your conversion rate. So take action. Here’s to your success.

So a few weeks ago an “Internet marketing company” who was looking for a web development partner to create templates and websites contacted us and stated that they were looking to promote us along with their company.

Our first order of business for them was to design a template for their flagship website. The person on the phone stated that they had a mockup ready for us to look at. They stated that they wanted their template to look just like the mockup. We looked at the mockup and decided that we could do it. After faxing them a contract, they called and asked if we could guarantee them a template that would work in all future versions of WordPress and to please include it in the language of the contract! Well golly, how could anyone “guarantee” a template to work in all future versions of WordPress?  I imagine a degree of clairvoyance would be needed to fulfill this tall order! At this point we became a little concerned about this “Internet marketing company” I mean first of all, their business plan stated that they were going to show people how to do Internet marketing and also design blogs and websites for them as if they were the experts.

Hmmm…..

We began to wonder just how much experience these folks actually had in Internet marketing, web development and SEO as we were led to believe in the beginning. Since their website copy touted how they were professionals with “years of experience in Internet marketing and web design”. At this point we really began to pick up the clue phone here.

So I wrote them back and explained the impossible nature of the request, but assured them that the template would be XHTML and CSS compliant, which is what you want to guarantee to any client. They said “okay”, and faxed back a signed contract and sent us a deposit for the template design. Once we were finished with the first draft, they came back and said they liked it. Now keep in mind, that the mockup they sent included all of their graphic design and artwork, so naturally our quote did not encompass graphic design work. Well they called a while later and after having a discussion within their group, decided that they did not like the colors or the graphic design and informed us that they wanted us to do it instead. I said okay and promptly sent a quote for doing a mockup theme and graphic design work. This was followed by a “We thought it was included in the original price?” Which I responded with “Please read the contract and please remember the initial phone call regarding the quote we gave which did not included graphic design.” They understood at this point, but after we agreed to do it, They began calling us constantly with questions that they should have known and also began sending us a barrage of images they wanted to include.  Many of the questions equated to training and they wanted to have long conference calls on the ins and outs of web design. To top it all off, I asked them several times to pick fonts and colors they wanted. This was met with great resistance and the only answer we got was, “You decide and make it awesome. Are you up for the challenge?”

No not really. We don’t make it our business to shoot in the dark here. If you are a marketing company with “years of experience” don’t you think you should have a firm grasp on your company logo, colors, etc.?

We unfortunately had to fire this client due to their inexperience with WordPress, web design, and online marketing in general. Not only that, after reading their copy, it was obvious to us that they were not looking to partner with anyone as we were led to believe.  They were simply looking for a contractor and then planned on making it look like they had done the web development. There was no mention of partnership within the copy or anything that led us to believe they were going to showcase our partnership. So the point of this article is, be careful who you hire to do your web development, SEO and online marketing. There are a million companies out there who front as online marketing companies, but the truth is; they are nothing more than a front, a facade, or a scam altogether.  These “companies” simply hire contractors to do the work for them and then mark up the costs.  They know all the buzzwords, the terminology and the lingo, but the truth is, they know nothing about online marketing or web development. These sham companies simply know how to scam others. So here are some things to consider when choosing a marketing company, a web development firm or even an SEO firm:

Ask them for case studies and references.

Ask them for keywords they can share with you so you can see how they rank. Any marketing company worth their weight will happily provide this. Then take those keywords and plug them into Google. See where they come up. Also ask for some of their client sites and ask for keywords to see how those sites place as well.

Ask them if they outsource their work or if they do it inhouse. If they say yes to outsourcing, RUN!

Be sure and ask them lots of questions and feel them out. Don’t assume they know what they are talking about!  These guys may have some slick web copy and even a slicker website, but be sure and ask pointed questions before you hire them.

Do they use inhouse programmers? Can you call some of their clients?

People who know nothing about online marketing or web development run many of these companies.  Eventually they run them into the ground. Why? Because it takes someone with real world experience to run a successful company and run it right.  Companies that are successful are all about providing value as opposed to seeing only money.

The Internet in my opinion can be equated to the California Gold Rush of the 1800’s: Millions saw gold and came seeking gold, but few had the actual experience to do so. Why waste your money on a firm who outsources the work to some other company, or worse, to some third world company a million miles away? Why not hire the right company from the start?

My first year in the MLM & Network Marketing Industry was basically spent running in circles trying to figure out what systems worked and what it was about these systems that made them work. What I discovered after spending over $20K on my marketing education was: Nearly every strategy I was being educated in would be effective with the odd exemption of course and all I had to do was remember to remind myself of the 2 primary elements that you get paid to do in any business where your success is based around sales, which would be just about any business… “Right”Retail: (Synonyms: advertise, barter, display, exchange, merchandise, offer for sale, retail, vend, wholesale)Recruit: (augment, better, build up, call to arms, call up, deliver, draft, engage, enlist, enroll, fill up, find human resources, gain, impress, improve, induct, levy, mobilize, muster, obtain, procure, proselytize, raise, reanimate, recoup, recover, recuperate, refresh, regain, reinforce, renew, repair, replenish, repossess, restore, retrieve, revive, round up, select, sign on, sign up, store up, strengthen, supply, take in, take on, win over)Of course it goes deeper than just this, but if you place these 2 goals at the top of your list before you get to work every day then your on your way. Sounds easy right… Now just take a few minutes and think, what is it you will have to do to achieve this There has been a lot and still is a lot of weight being focused on the 3 foot rule where people are saying that making a list of friends and family, placing flyers on windscreens in parking lots, attempting to pitch anyone that comes within 3ft or less of you; spending hrs on the phone cold calling people and holding meetings at home and in hotels all over the country is simply not the way to do business these days.That’s NOT to say that these methods don’t still work (because there are still a lot of people using this method and having success) the question is, how much spare time would you really have? This method takes real commitment and those that are succeeding using it are truly working long and hard for their success. do. Personally I hated every second of it so I went looking for better ways.Network Marketing & MLM Speed Bumps.Pay Per Click (PPC) MarketingDon’t mis-interperate me here guy’s PPC is an extremely mighty tool to use but… As you learn, you’ll hear about the guy’s that love using Pay Per Click (PPC) to push traffic (Recruit & Retail) Guys; trust me on this one Don’t try using adwords or PPC without first getting educated in all the pitfalls and traps that will drain your PPC budget quicker than your lawn grows in the tropical Queensland summer, if you dont fully understand adwords. My first few months in PPC equaled thousands of dollars of crazy wasted money with my leads costing way more than I was making, because I didnt grasp adwords and the penalities that were costing me heaps driving my bid prices up. I finally came to my senses and invested in training from the experts. I kept thinking that tomorrow would be different but tomorrow would come and go and the results would linger the same. My Advice: You Absolutely Positively Have To Understand Adwords Before You Dive In And Throw A Single Penny At It. As you continue to dig around the internet searching for ways to (Retail & Recruit) It’s likely that you will come across some people that recommend buying lists. When you come across these people there are certain steps that you will need to take (BIG FAST ONES) Been there done that… TURN & RUN OK. I’ll be honest with you here, I had been warned about these lists but I still had a go at them against my better judgment. The warnings I had received were absolutely true. You will no doubt find sites that offer free advertising where you build credits by viewing other people’s offers and Business Opportunities. Can you guess… Yep! Been there done that too.when I did manage to get some leads this way the quality wasn’t very high and I quickly came to realize that you would spend a lot of valuable time on these sites either going through and having the page open for the required amount of time then moving as quickly as possible to the next to build your credits up so that you could continue to advertise your opportunity. Then if something did catch your eye it wouldn’t be long before something else turned up that distracted your attention. Do you see how this goes… Way too much stuff going through your head and the clock continues ticking away as your (Recruit & Retail) time vanishes for another day. Do you think all the other people using this method are any different? Of course you could pay to advertise on these sites and then you save time because you don’t have to go and open other ads to build your credits, but … do you honestly think the majority of people doing this are really looking for a business opportunity or just trying to advertise their own? There are so many better ways.I was looking for the magic bullett and trying all sorts of tactics to get people to see what I had to offer and I was missing one of the most crucial pieces of the puzzle while I ran in circles. It’s a really big piece of the puzzle I call the Fundamental Centerpiece and it belongs right near the heart of everything. Visualize a puzzle where YOU have to make each piece as you go, you can’t start at a corner and build from here because the only portion YOU have is YOU, so what is the next piece. I’m not trying to take credit for coming up with this on my own, remember I did spend over $20K on training but amidst all that education I had been overlooking the one critical dynamic that would make all the difference in my Network Marketing & MLM success. (It was Fundamentals) You could say; I was revving the engine but going nowhere because I hadn’t selected a gear yet.In order to get sales you need traffic; in order to get traffic you need exposure; to get exposure you need to spend money on advertising right? … (Wrong!)So how do you get exposure without spending. The answer is simple, (Search Engines) Not PPC, at least not yet ok. Here is where the Fundamentals come in. How are you going to go and search for information to learn marketing strategies for Network Marketing & MLM, your going to head over to google or yahoo search engines… right. Now you type you’re your keyword in the search engine and hit enter; what do you find more often than not? Over and over againyou will find an article that someone has written that is specific to that particular keyword… right! Article Marketing is an Extremely Powerful Tool that has the potential to drive massive amounts of traffic to you and your opportunity. What does google and yahoo search engines love? Just like us humans google loves to read new content, so how do you let google know that you have just made some interesting new content for the spiders to come and read. One Word – WordPress Blog, ok that’s two words, but did you know that wordpress comes with a ping function that instantly sends google and other search engines and sites whats known as a ping that will instantly tell them that you have just updated your content and over time provided you are committed and make daily and regular updates your articles and subject matter are going to get elevated rankings in the engines giving you better exposure. WordPress also comes with a bunch of other really cool marketing plugins that allow you to update Facebook, Myspace, Digg, Youtube and countless other Social Media, Bookmarking sites with the click of a mouse allowing you to (Retail & Recruit) effectively and fit 24hrs of marketing work into just a couple of hrs per day.

Blogging as become one of the most important tools for Internet marketer, politicians, and anyone who wants to reach out to the masses. It’s easy to setup, maintain and update. Whit free hosting, free graphic templates, free plug ins, and virtually unlimited customization, anyone can create a presence on the web that is uniquely their own.

For the Internet marketer, it has many advantages over a standard Website. The word press blog is easy to optimize for search engine ranking, easy to promote and monetize. Word press is particularly easy to setup for affiliate Internet marketing. With plug ins that automate posting of articles, affiliate links, and Google adsense. All this is free and east to setup and can be done in a matter of minutes.

However, as a serious Internet marketer, you will want to invest just a little to get started. Many of the free hosting solutions have restrictions on advertising and can shut you down without warning. It is better to start with your own domain and hosting solution. The good news is this can be done for very little cost. A typical domain name costs only $9, and hosting can be had for about $8 per month or less. Owning your own domain name and getting it hosted with a third party will give you complete control over what and how you promote your business.

When looking for a domain name, make sure you choose one that contains keywords related to your product or service. For example, if you want to promote athletic equipment, your domain name should be something like athleticequipment.com or shoesforrunners.com. Also, you will want to make sure your domain name has a “.com” at the end. Almost any other suffix or “Top Level Domain” will suffer in the search engine rankings. If you really must have a particular domain name and it is not available in a “.com” your next best choices are “.org” and “.net.” Avoid all other top level domains.

When looking for a hosting provider, choose one that offers unlimited domains, email, and bandwidth. Also make sure they offer “cpanel” and “fantastico” with automated word press blog installation. There are several excellent hosting providers that can do this for $8 per month. This way you can host several domains without adding to your monthly hosting cost. However, usually there is one small caveat to anything unlimited. If your blog begins to receive tons of traffic, the hosting provider may deem this as excessive use of their services and shut down your account. As a rule of thumb, when your blog begins getting traffic in the thousands of hits per day, you may be required to upgrade. This can range from $25 – $99 per month. However, once you reach this point, you should be earning enough from your blog to cover this expense.

Now that you have your domain name, hosting solution, and word press blog setup, you will need to install some basic plug ins that will help you optimize and promote your blog for the search engines. Word press plug ins are little scripts that can automate many of the things that every Internet marketer needs to do. This includes automatically posting articles and content, pulling content from RSS feeds, creating and submitting site maps, automatically optimizing for search engines, automatically posting to social book marking Website, and much more!

From the administration panel within word press, go to the plug ins menu and select add new. From here, you will be able to search for plug ins that will enhance your word press blog. Specifically, you will want to search for plug ins called (all in one seo), (xml site map), (only wire), (twitter post), (article poster), (feed word press) and (super cache). Take some time to read about each plug in, they are very powerful tools for the Internet marketer. They will automatically optimize your blog for the search engines, populate your blog with content, post to 25+ social book marking Website, and speed up the blogging experience for your readers while reducing the load on your hosting provider.

If you are an affiliate internet marketer with Amazon, EBay, or Google, there are several free plug-ins that automatically add content and links with your affiliate id. Search for amazon, eBay, and adsense in the plug ins directory. Choose the ones that have at least a four star rating. Also carefully read the terms of use. You want to make sure there are no leaks in the plug in such as randomly replacing your affiliate id with theirs.

As an affiliate internet marketer with a word press blog, you also get the benefit of using free RSS feeds from your vendors Using the “feed word press” plug in, you can automatically populate your blog with posts about the latest promotions and products. Several affiliate programs offer RSS feeds to their affiliates. These feeds are updated daily and will keep your blog fresh with content.

Word press is a very powerful tool for the Internet marketer. Using the methods above, you can easily setup several blogs per day and have them run on auto-pilot from day one. With Word press, several of the tedious tasks that used to take hours to complete, can now be setup in minutes and run automatically. As an internet marketer, you can now concentrate and spend your time on the important tasks of copy writing, article writing, product development, and any number of other things that cannot and should not be automated.

If you’re just starting out in affiliate marketing you’ll no doubt have a huge amount of questions. Here are 7 of the more common questions I get asked.

Although some courses can be valuable for absolute beginners almost all the time all the information is freely available in the various affiliate marketing blogs and forums. Start reading and most of all start doing as nothing beats good old fashioned trial and error.

Impossible to answer. Let me give you some examples. If I was a finance affiliate then I would maybe pick OMG who are pretty much a niche network working in the money and financial sector, so good if you are in finance, but not so good for my holiday site. Without specific information about what you are looking for it’s impossible to answer, and remember programs come and go on networks, so the best network for you today may not be the same as tomorrow.

How am I supposed to answer this?| The best affiliate program will of course differ from site to site. Say for example that my best performing program right now is InterFlora, because I feature it heavily on my flower site that does a huge amount of targeted traffic. Does that mean you should promote it on your site for airport parking? Nope, of course not. Instead try asking “What is the best performing affiliate program in the airport parking sector”? Then go through the different answer you will undoubtedly get and ask why, does it have a high CPA? Does it have a low reversal policy or does it just convert really well?

Again this is impossible to answer. I operate in a few niches now that are very profitable to me, however only because I have been in these niches for years and know them inside out. For a newbie to enter would be very hard and would involve a lot of money for PPC. Even then there would be no guarantees. Don’t pick a market to promote just because you think you can rake in money from it, instead build a site about something you are passionate about and knowledgeable about.

Of course you can, lots of affiliate marketers don’t know a lot of technical information (or certainly didn’t when they started out) Thanks to sites like WordPress and Blogger you can now have a site up and running in literally minutes. This can be a good place to start for those without any tangible technical skills.

Prepare to be amazed, because although many people spend there entire lives worrying about CTR the simple fact is “As long as you are making money it doesn’t matter”. Seriously, people obsess about this but at the end of the day if you are making money then that’s what counts. I have some campaigns that have CTR rates at over 75% but earn practically nothing, and also some at less than 5% that earn me enough for a holiday each month. Look at profit and let CTR look after itself.

In my opinion 250-500. Not 10, or 100 unless they are extremely expensive clicks. Some people will argue that it should be lower but I always send at least 250-500 very targeted clicks via a PPC campaign before I can definitely say whether it will convert.

Wikipedia defines WordPress as a web publishing system (a.k.a. content management system) written in PHP and backed by a MySQL database. WordPress is used to manage frequently-updated Web content, especially Weblogs. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License and is available free of charge.
If you are freaked out by the technical jargon don’t be. If you have your own web hosting account with mysql access you can easily install the software on your server or have a php programmer install it.
The software is free and can be accessed at http://wordpress.org The benefits of have the software hosted on your server include link popularity. Because you will be promoting a blog with a link back to your original domain you will get backlinks. The downside is managing the software on your hosting account which can cause added stress and take some time to maintain.
If you are not at all technical you can sign up with several free wordpress hosting services like http://freedesktopads.com that will host the software on their server. All you need to do is log in with a username and password to use the service. You will not receive backlinks to your direct domain but you will create backlinks to the blog you are working on. One other issue is the host can pull the plug on your blog at any time so be sure to have some back up of the material at least if you are forced to move.
Blogs can target specific keywords for Search Engine Optimization just as traditional web pages can. The benefit of article marketing versus a web page is content pure and simple. The blog is an ongoing listing of your articles one right after the other. If your blog is full of articles on one particular niche you are likely to use the same keywords throughout various articles. Your blog will be full of good information with keywords scattered through it appropriately instead of concentrated for SEO benefit.
Your blog can all be distributed through RSS feeds. Think of an RSS feed like an email list. If you have a number of people who find your blog worth while they will add it to their feed service. When your blog gets updated your RSS feed will send it out to your subscribers. How cool would it be to have your blog feed to thousands of RSS feeders and all you need to do is add content.
Word press makes it really easy to tag your blog. Tagging a blog means that your keywords are tagged and picked up by popular pinging services like technoratti. A tagged blog is more readily available for users searching for your particular content. Tagging a wordpress blog is extremely simple. Create categories based on your keywords. When you publish your articles on your blogs select the specific categories that related to your articles. As you create more keyword rich content create more categories. You will see a solid spike in traffic based on tagging alone.
Get instant traffic to your blog with a pinging service. Pinging is the act of letting other content sites know you have new information on your blog. Ping at http://pingoat.com for sure. Every time you update your blog use the ping service. Pingoat pings top notch services like technorati. You can also submit your blog to hundreds of blog directories like http://www.blogcatalog.com
Blogs are beneficial because they are easy to update, they can keyword rich and are easily announced to the world. The content should be kept fresh and up to date to keep people coming back for more. Use your blog to direct traffic to other sites, monetize it with Google Adsense or Clickbank products.

In recent years, Asia has developed to become one of the foremost internet marketing boom areas, particularly in Singapore and Malaysia. As more and more events take off in this part of the world, outstanding internet marketers are starting to blaze the trail and offer marketers in the USA, UK and Europe opportunities for joint ventures and other work. For instance, Vince Tan, a Malaysian, was previously unknown until the launch of “Keyword Anywhere” tool that has caught the imagination of the internet marketing community through its killer application. Vince works with a more prominent internet strategist, Kelvin Hui. Gobala Krishnan, another Malaysian, who was also formerly unknown until the development of the Easy WordPress System that also proliferated the internet with its step-by-step approach to blogging. Joesph Then, a fairly experienced internet marketer, who has not yet been known in Singapore but has a thriving business there, also runs several online businesses and is armed with over 6 years of actual experience. If you can find a blog that someone has that gets a lot of traffic then read the posts and see if there is one that you post a reply to. In the body of your post do not put any url’s or do any advertising because many people will see that as SPAM. In your signature give your name first or maybe a little quote and then your name and after your name give the url’s to sites that you would like to have people visit. Another great thing you could would be to create a one page site that has all the url’s or the sites where you want people to go and then in your signature just put the one url for that one page site. I’ve seen some marketers who put like 10 url’s in their signature and a lot of people including myself look down upon this practice. If you have ever had a MySpace account just look at all the comments that others will post on you page. Most of them are just blatant SPAM and I just delete them without ever reading them. This same thing happens on my blog but I have a rule setup that nothing will be posted until after I approve of it. Jaz Lai is a new addition to the Singapore team of internet marketers. His claim to fame is in network marketing online, and has fascinating ways to build a list online. These are five figure a month internet marketers, and it is likely that before the end of this year, six-figure income marketers will be created in the heartlands of Asia. The community effort is now being forged at http://www.IMAsiaHub.com and all marketers are invited to beta test the platform. With more opportunities to network, there will most definitely be a greater number of join ventures and more money to be made.

The advice I am going to offer you in this article is one that has taken me literally several years to not only understand, but to really respect in terms of how true and powerful it is. I know you have come across the phrase ‘attraction marketing by now; it is a term that has caught quite a lot of buzz in the MLM world, primarily because so many network marketers are just sick of the outdated methods of building their business, like proposing their opporutnity to their warm network of friends and family.Several years ago, I was involved with a network marketing company where I really poured my heart and soul into the old school way of building my business. I made ‘the dreaded list’ of people I knew and forced myself to have a . I purchased online leads and did some cold-marketing. I hate to say it, but I even did some things that were just embarassing.Even though I worked so hard, very little of my efforts paid off. I simply could not get things off the ground even though I was pouring a lot of effort into it.At the time, I had no idea why. I was doing every single action my upline told me to do. I had no problem investing in my growth. I tried my hardest to look at the bright side.I absorbed all kinds of training on closing leads. None of it worked.It took me a few years to understand why. Finally, I can enjoy a good chuckle when I think back on that painful time…but I really do feel bad when I hear about entrepreneurs who are spinning their wheels using these outdated strategies. You see, the problem was that I had no real clue about marketing–and neither did my upline.It wasn’t until I turned to online marketing that I really found the answer. Attraction marketing is based on the concept that, as an entreprenuer, it is crucial . There are essentially 2 distinct mindsets you can favor when you are trying to build your business:1. I need something from other people in order to be successful (this was my first approach)2. I have something that people need from me, and this is the basis of the success of myself and the people I help (this is the approach I use now)Sadly, most entrepreneurs favor approach number one when it comes to marketing. They are feverishly trying to pursue clients and customers instead of positioning themselves skillfully so that they literally ‘attract’ their target market to them in a relatively effortless way. Approach #1 is burdensome and inauthentic; approach #2 is effective and enjoyable. Which do you desire?Okay, so if you are interested in attraction marketing, you are going to need a method that you use on a daily basis.Yes, it is still vital that you take action and be proactive about your promotion. But you are not going to chase prospects; you are going to allow them to discover you. Here is the way to accomplish this:1. Create a wordpress blog and use it to position yourself as an expert in your industry. 2. Create fresh, new relevant, and valuable content for your blog every single day.3. Distribute your content through social media and article sites. Your mission is to write just a bit each day and then spread your material all over the internet so you can start getting a flood of traffic through your backlinks.Keep in mind that attraction marketing is an idea that should tremendously benefit any service professional who wants to leverage online technology as their primary means of gaining a following.Yes, this sounds pretty simple–and it really is once you get in a rhythm with it. Social media and blogging can give you the very best platform possible for positioning yourself as a leader through attraction marketing.. You can start right now by creating your own content every day and leveraging the internet to gain a ton of exposure. This approach will help you achieve your goals very quickly!

For beginners, this article is instrumental in revealing what is the minimum you really need in the way of services and software to succeed in Affiliate Marketing.1. A mailing list

To become successful in making money on-line you need a list. How many times have you heard “The Money is in the List”? This is a very frequent buzz sentence. Well, it is true, you definitely need a list but:

* What is a list?

* What does it do for me?

* How do I start one?

* What are the restrictions like spam, eBay rules?

All these are legitimate questions for a beginner Affiliate. I’ll answer them in a few sentences, because “the Mailing List” is not the main topic of this article, but I’ll provide enough info to get you started.

First you need a reason to have a mailing list:

* You want to be a successful Affiliate.

* You want to sell your own Digital Product

* You want to start an Internet Business of any kind.

* You are a teacher, a mentor and you want to remain in touch with your students.

* You have a lot of friends or associates all over the world and you want to keep in touch.

All those are legitimate reasons to have a list.

To create your own mailing list you must have a form in a Website, Newsletter, E-zine, about Me page on eBay, where you collect a name and an email address.Doing so you will collect emails from people who are interested in what you are doing/selling/advertising. This is what we call a Targeted Subscribers Mailing List. Using this technique you will get repeat customers and this is crucial, with just one sale per customer, you cannot get far enough.

The building of your Mailing List takes time and effort in your part, but building a list must be your first priority. My sincere advice to you is take action, and don’t try to be a perfectionist. You will get there at some point in time, but if you wait for the perfect product to be created, you will never get it! The best way to learn a process is doing it!2. An Instant Delivery Tool.

If you sell Digital Products you cannot survive without an Instant Delivery Tool. Manual delivery of the download URL is out of question and it will look unprofessional.

Just think: you get in bed at 10 PM, at 11 PM somebody around the globe buys your Digital Product. You will wake up at 7 AM, go to your computer at 8 AM and manually write an email with download URL, this is 9 hours later!

What happened if you have a hot DP to sell and over the night 500 people have bought your product? You will spend the entire day manually sending 500 emails! No way!

The customers love “Instant Delivery” for Digital Products and now eBay created a nightmare for eBayers banning DP with instant delivery.

My recommendation is “My Digital Dispatch” (MyDD) because in just 2 weeks they already created a new version MyDD 3.2 able to solve the eBay restriction. They will take the PDF from you, will create a CD or DVD and they will send the physical product to your customers. In eBay eyes you sell a physical product, not an instant delivery product.

MyDD is Digital Product delivery software with rich functionality in addition to just instant DP delivery:

* It will build a list of hungry prospects & send follow ups messages for you.

* You will build credibility for you just using it.

* It provides multi level Digital Products Security.

* This works perfect with eBay auctions, even with the new ban, in version 3.2

* You can have Unlimited Products and unlimited email messages.

* You can have customized Messages using variables from a drop down menu.

* It is easy to set up (if you aren’t handy enough with scripts, you can request them to install it on your PC).

* It is one time purchase and it gives you the license to install it only on one PC.

* It will keep a transaction log for you.

There are other instant delivery software packages but this one is: easy to use, affordable,

And they have excellent custom service.

To use MyDD you must have a host with cPanel with the following components:

* PHP Interpreter.

* MySQL Data base.

* Apache Web Server.

* Ability to upload files (a standard FTP client).3. Hosting with cPanel

We already know that it is a good habit to have a domain for each Digital Product you sell and, therefore, you need a host for your squeeze and selling pages.

The best host is one which has cPanel with the components I lay out for MyDD plus Fantastico.

The perfect host is HostGator, because it has Fantastico as well and all other features you need for MyDD. (Fantastico is a Utility Program which the host must buy separately, and the majority of hosts don’t do it). Fantastico will help you to install WordPress, the very popular blog content management system, the easiest way.4. Autoresponder unlimited campaign and follow-up messages.

An Autoresponder is an easy way to set up email campaigns, it is also a service you need for the automation of the process. Most marketers including me will recommend aWeber. They have excellent services and the System will do a lot of work on your behalf.

This is what aWeber can do for you:

* Unlimited campaigns, lists, follow up messages, and newsletters.

* Reliable, 99.34% email deliverability, fast.

* Give you templates for newsletter and follow up design.

* Easily create and ad opt-in web forms to your website.

* Free training guides and videos.

* Expert unlimited free customer support.

You also can use: GetResponse, ProSender, ProAutoresponders (actually this is a Site which offers information about Auto Responders). Whatever you decide to use you must be sure that they have unlimited campaign and follow-up messages.5. An HTML Editor.

You need a friendly HTML editor. Actually it is mandatory to have one because as an affiliate you have to edit Web pages, Sales pages and modify them.

My advice is to learn HTML, or at list you need to understand it. I can’t emphasize enough how easy HTML really is! If you go to Google and do a research on – FREE HTML Editor, you might find an endless list. I recommend a FREE WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor called NVU, www.nvu.com, they have a paid version, but the free version is all you need.6. Free Traffic with Web 2.0

This is not just a tool, Web 2.0 is considered the new generation of websites and you can use it to replace PPC with FREE Traffic.

We can divide The Web 2.0 sites in these categories:

* Social Bookmarking sites

* Social Networking sites

* Video sites

* Pod Casting

* Blogs

I already published an article about Web 2.0; I do not want to repeat the content now.

The knowledge is very important but to take Action is crucial. I hope the first 5 Tools plus some knowledge about using Web 2.0 for free traffic will get you started.
