(this is a little darker then my hair color now, its naturally medium blonde) but ive always wanted fiery red hair, but my hair is pretty processed, and does have some breakage, will dying my hair red make it a really brittle and dryed out?

can i do it myself? just using a box from the store? or is it necessary to get professionally done, i dont need it to be perfect and i really cant afford to get my hair professionally done anytime soon, and i want to do this within the next two days

I’m starting a website that includes daily news, and other various posts that need to be sorted automatically by date/tags etc. I’ve looked around and WordPress seems the best option for me (unless you think different). I’ve got my HTML for my site, I know the layout and have all the final graphics, I just have no idea how to incorporate wordpress into my site.

Is there no way I can just tell WordPress where to put the posts etc?

Really need to make a custom theme so this all works, if there’s no way of doing this, what free Content Management Systems are there out there that I can add to a pre-exsiting site?

I cannot for the life of me remove the comments box from the bottom of my WordPress posts/pages.
Bearing in mind there is no check-box in the “edit page” section or in dashboard/settings/discussions. Actually I’ve been over every inch of the dashboard (twice) to no avail so I’m guessing it’s got to be a coding issue.
Other recommendations I have read that haven’t worked include editing the “single post” php, and the comments php, as well as looking around the style.css for an answer I am all out of ideas.
There is plenty of info regarding changing other themes but a distinct lack of it when it comes to the “Weaver” theme.
Am I overlooking the obvious here or is there really very little information on this subject?
An insight into my dilemma or more to the point a resolution by one of you geniuses out there would be highly appreciated.

I have had my wordpress blog hacked. Initially the hacker had included links within the code. These added links/spam subsequently disappeared.

Now google is reporting the site as “Suspicious” and distributing Malware. Webmaster Tools gives me a few of the infected pages and the offending script which I would like to remove.

HOWEVER

The urls it give me don’t make sense…

/wp-content/themes/twentyten/img.php?u=almond-baskets

I can see the img.php file, but what’s the ?Variable about ? When I do a content search for the script within the public_html folder (on my local machine ; Mac OS 10.6 btw) I get no results?

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to go next. Thanks!

Hello web design gurus! You probably have a name for someone like me..

I have never studied web design in school, but I ended up learning on my own and experimenting with a few different sites.. I’m more of a graphic designer with a limited knowledge of coding who likes to build websites here and there.

I have my own hosting account, use Dreamweaver & the rest of the creative suite and yes, I use TABLES (I can hear your blood curdling screams already).. I know this not the way to go nowadays and all the reasons why. I also experiment with WordPress and have learned to manipulate the css in a few different ways to change template layout, etc.

My problem is that if I can’t see the layout visually the way it actually appears I’m lost.. which is why I use tables.. I can drag the edges to make them wider, I can hit the background image button and insert background images.. I can center them or align left or right and see the design right in front of me before I upload it.. When I look at a page file from a wordpress theme for example all I see is a bunch of divs that look NOTHING like the page looks in a browser and it drives me crazy!

So finally my question or questions… Is there a software other than dreamweaver or a capability in dreamweaver that will enable me to manipulate divs and their content where I can see it and manipulate it as it appears in a browser rather than seeing the mess (It looks like a mess to me) of a bunch of divs and text???

If not, can you recommend a book or tutorial that will ease me out of my old-school ways of designing with tables and into the realm of accessibility, & standards using css & divs?

I hired a contractor to build me a website. She submitted a package which includes 1) The WordPress folder (which include Search Page and Home page) and 2) the SQL database. I tested it out and it works fine. It’s named http://www.XYZ.com/Test1.

Then every night she tried tutoring me how to use WordPress. We created a few more pages from my server called Term of Use, About Us, etc…

Then I tried creating a backup by myself. From my server I made the exact copy of Test1 directory calling it Test2. I also uploaded the same SQL database when she first submited Test1 package. The link http://www.XYZ.com/Test2 loaded however, none of the new Pages (Term of Use, About Us, etc…) are copied over. I checked the code in header.php and footer.php and the code is there. I checked the WordPress admin panel and those pages don’t exist.

Why aren’t they copied over? How can I copy them over?

Someone who clearly has it out for me, made some outrageous claims about me and now it’s indexed on Google. The hate blogger states ‘that I won’t pay people.’ I have never ever not paid someone, including this individual that was offering a service I declined to purchase. He uses a lot of obscenities as well, but I’m sure he’s entitled to do that.
I contacted WordPress abuse center but they have not responded; I’m not sure if I have their right contact info….does anyone know the abuse contact for WordPress.com and/or Google? Any helpful tips would be most appreciated
