Hi.
I have developed an application with Google Maps API (not currently live so I can’t link to it). The application was developed in JavaScript and PHP and has the function for users to login and store information on a MySQL database (all made using Dreamweaver).
At the moment is fully functional but it is not presentable. I could design a site and make everything look nice using CSS and publish this to the internet – all using Dreamweaver….but this application will only form one section of the website. I would like to have other pages on the site that my colleagues can edit with ease (they do not have access to Dreamweaver, nor are they technically minded).
Am I right in saying that an opensource CMS like WordPress does not have the flexibility to support my application? Would I need to use some sort of online website builder with the functionality to display my app in an iframe?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I have a hard time controlling the design and element placement on the page, whether it’s page I design from scratch or a WordPress template.. Is there a software that does that simply?
If I use simple free software like NVU you just insert HTML tags and have to go in and change the
If I use Dreamweaver, it basically lets you “draw” an element where you want it on the page, but then it hard codes the dimensions in pixels and you lose the natural auto-stretch properties of tables.
And now of course the shift is towards CSS. I don’t know of an easy to use software that does that.
Any advice?
I was using wordpress and find it hard to make a template (not html/css but the php code somewhere I am making a mistake) basically I want my front page to have posts and at the bottom says older news so they can go back if they want. Whats the easiest way to do it.
Widgets I know. Actually feedburner has a tool where it will transfer all your blog posts to your site Only problem is links go to the blog site which isn’t what I wanted but I think its my best bet. Also you can style it nice too.
Hello
I am looking for a website like blogger or wordpress, only it lets me download the template so I can upload it to my own host, basically I want an easy way to make a website, I do know html & css but it takes to long and they still look rubbish at the end.
Thanks

I am working on a number of websites and have found it EXTREMELY convenient to use Microsoft’s Web Deployment Installer to quick-start some of these sites. Most of them are Drupal and WordPress, and thus do not have any programming that is uniquely “Windows.” The problem is, I have no idea how to access the databases for these sites nor even how to back them up.
I would like to know if I can go ahead and finish building these sites, with data, settings, and all intact, and then back them up and migrate them to a shared linux hosting account that will likely have cPanel.
Any help here will make my world a lot easier.
Wanted to add details that ALL of my sites are installed using MySQL – or so I am led to believe. IIS is completely new to me as I’ve previously been learning using remote hosting; using the Web Deployment Tool is a new thing out of convenience.
Or…could you recommend a easy way of adding inline equations to my wordpress 2.2 blog?
I want one similar to this

Instructions or link to instructions would be appreciated too :)

2. Joomla.
