Hi im in the process of finishing up my website and almost ready to publish it but im kinda stuck on something.

I currently have CuteNews v1.4.6 (http://cutephp.com/) as my content management system because I would like to blog on my site & I was thinking about buying the license because I want the site to be professional and don’t want the credits listed at the bottom BUT im not for sure if CuteNews is secure enough. Im scared that someone maybe able to hack my website.

Does anyone know if CuteNews is secure enough for my site? I want to make sure that buying the license will be worth it. If its not then I will try to switch over to WordPress. I originally wanted to use WordPress but it was too confusing but If Cutenews isn’t good enough then I will find a way.

Thanks ahead of time!

Erotic fiction, actually. I actually found a few, but installing wordpress is like pulling teeth. Their SQL databases don’t work right, or they don’t allow FTP access, etc etc. Also, I don’t mind dealing with ads in trade for server space, but enormous ads that take up a quarter of the screen and move with you when you scroll are straight out.

How do I add images on Featured Content Gallery? Learn how here with Linda Lee of Askmepc-webdesign and WordPress Central. Video Tutorial on using Featured Content Gallery to add images to your slideshow. How to see your post number and more.

Here’s a step-by-step approach that will get you started:

1. Carry out keyword research and analysis to define your top 10 keywords

2. Do an initial audit on your website for your top 10 keywords to identify the top SEO issues to be fixed

3. Analyse your keyword competitors for your top 10 keywords

4. Analysis your trade competitors

5. Research your current visibility for chosen keywords – to establish a yardstick for improvement?

6. Determine the quality of your back-links. Back-links of poor quality may actually be reducing your authority with the search engines.. Where are you getting links (links – not traffic) from – what countries, what domains?

You are now ready to start making changes to the website.

7. Write Meta data for 10 keywords – title tag, description tag, keywords tag

8. Clean up code if required, i.e. clean html, CSS, broken links, navigation

9. Get human readable urls that match chosen keywords

10. Generate or optimise existing site map, plus develop XML site map

11. Implement internal and external links that align with keywords

12. Append a blog to the website, we recommend WordPress

So, how much would you expect to pay for this work? A wide range of service providers can quote you for this service. You are in  a better position if you have done the above analysis as you can prepare a specific Requirement Specification Document.

Ultimately the price paid should be based on the expected ROI from the campaign.

To do the work yourself you would need to know how to prioritise the work into a list of tasks that will yield the fastest SEO results as some tasks are more important than others.

As the new year (2010) aproaches and during the break many people are taking time to reflect, and plan.

2009 was a great year on the internet. The global economy had a direct effect on business and saw many start-up e-businesses.

As a result of the “great global economy crash” many people found their way to the internet and decided to use it as a way to communicate their business not only using the social network sites – Facebook and Twitter et al. but with their own dedicated web site.

This is good news but has problems. The more web sites out there the more competition every web site faces.  Therefore it is becoming more important to have a web site that people not only visit but is friendly.

Sounds obvious, but it is very easy to design a web site that annoys the people who visit it and much harder to create a site the same people like, love and will keep coming back to.

Fortunately, the most common website mistakes are very easy to prevent or fix.

The first and most important aspect of any web site design is to make sure it has something to offer visitors.

Too many people start with the design rather than with the content – remember this, a web page exists to provide something that’s useful or interesting to visitors. If your site doesn’t do/have that, then it has a big problem from the outset and you should rethink the project until you can offer something useful or of interest.

Having got over that hurdle you now have a site/site concept that is of interest to people – you are now in with a chance – so try not to annoy those valuable people further.

The next big thing – and I mean a really big thing – is one of understanding differences.  The web is a great leveler.  In theory a small company can compete with a big multi-national one but ………..can they really?

Most people have heard of the BBC, Shell, New York Times, Amazon, Exxon etc. they are familiar brand names, your business may be familiar in your locality but probably not on the web and with over 20 million websites, like me you are a small fish in a very big pond.

This means there are different design rules for us as small businesses.  We really need to be more content not design focused.  What a big business can get away with – and be expected to have in their design – is totally different to us small businesses.

The golden rule is content, content, content.

Which would you prefer:

I won’t answer for you but I suspect that most people would go for option no.2

Virtually everybody who designs websites (and those who run them) forget one thing.

The internet is the only media in the world where what is actually designed may not be what someone sees.

For varying reasons people change settings in their browsers – e.g. someone with poor eyesight that doesn’t use a screen reader may set their browser to show large text by default.  People can also set a default font, choose not to display images or multi-media etc.

We designed a site for one client, the client was really happy with it, it looked good (and incidentally performed really well increasing on-line sales by over 300% in 3 months).

The site was designed setting Arial as the default font in the CSS and a normal font size i.e. 100% which depending on the browser equates to either font size 14 or 16.

During the design stage the client’s wife was always on the phone complaining that we were not using the font Arial and that the text size was too big, she sent us screen dumps from here PC which clearly showed the font of Comic Sans and about font size 20.  What she forgot to say was that she had set these aspects as the defaults in her browser.

So a cautionary tale about being over fussy with design people change setting in their browsers.

I will say this now, and no doubt will repeat it again but design your web site for the people who will actually use it – not you and most certainly not your designer/programmer.  Just because you or your designer/programmer likes something doesn’t mean the people you are trying to attract will.

As a visitor too many web sites there are many frustrating things about the way people design their sites, many mean that I just “switch off” and look elsewhere for alternative content.

I am not alone, people go to a website for its’ content not to admire “add ons” like animation (graphics & text) and sounds that load automatically. These few items make it harder to concentrate on reading the site content.  Which would you rather have? someone who is focused on your content or a person who is being distracted and leaves?

Some addons may seem cool to have – but why? The big question is do they add value to the content – or are they just your designers’ way of showing off telling the world that they can add these aspects.  Don’t forget most designers include a link back to their site and quite possibly will show your site off in their portfolio.  Why do you think designers include so much that isn’t actually needed?

Consider your user.  I tell clients everyday and I will repeat it again here – make it easy for visitors to find the content (there’s that word again) on your site..

Having got them to your site what do you do?

The days of hard-coding HTML web pages is long gone. Today, there are numerous pieces of software – known as content management software (CMS) – which will make your life much easier.

Rather than having to know how to do anything technical, once you have your CMS set up adding a page to your site is as simple as logging into your password protected administration area and just typing your article into the box. You click “publish” and the article appears on your site.

But there are so many different pieces of content management software out there it can be hard to decide which one you should go with. Many people say that just trying a few out is a good idea and while I agree with them in principle, installing and trying out a number of these pieces of software can be very time consuming so the purpose of this article is to examine a few of the more popular options in the hope that I can cut down on your research time.

WordPress

WordPress was created as software to run blogs on but is versatile enough to be used as a full-blown CMS. WordPress is possibly the easiest CMS of all to install and use and pleasantly there are loads of free themes available to help you customize the look and feel of your site. There are also a large number of free plugins to help to extend the functionality of WordPress by adding focums, photo galleries, social bookmarketing elements and so on.

80% of my own sites currently run on WordPress and I have been very hapy with the results.

Joomla

Joomla is a slightly more heavy-duty CMS that many of todays large community and content sites are built on. Whilst it is a little harder to learn to use than WordPress, it is more suitable for websites where you are either expecting higher visitor numbers or you want an even more customized feel at the end.

While one can generally tell websites that are made with WordPress because they have some similarities in design and layout, typically with Joomla the sky is the limit.

Joomla too has a large number of add-ons to help you make it do whatever you want from allowing readers to vote on their favourite articles to interacting with each other like a bone fide social networking website.

Drupal

Drupal is the third and final piece of software I want to mention. It is a popular application among web designers but having tried it myself in the past I must admit that I found it too difficult to get to grips with. This is in contrast to the two previous options which I found I quickly got the hang of and swear by now.

I’m not saying Drupal is bad software in any way, just that my own experience is that it is far more difficult to use than the other options, so I would recommend them over Drupal.

Lastly, be aware that all three of these options are absolutely free, so if you have a web hosting account you can always install just these few and try them out for size.

Drupal has a powerful open source content management system that allows you to classify and tag content. Drupal category can be limited to certain content types. For example, you could have blog contents that allowed free tagging (similar to WordPress categories), while your news section might have a different vocabulary (set of categories) that could only be selected from an existing list of categories. You can also have hierarchical categories, with single or multiple parent categories. Drupal’s advanced taxonomy features, allow you to easily target all of those long-tail keywords that you researched in Wordtracker.

You can views Modules to create new content types and create advanced custom views for them without writing any code. A few examples of “content types” are “blog posts”, “news stories”, “forum posts”, “tutorials”, “classified ads”, “podcasts”. You can create as many custom content types as you would like and display them in many different ways. Most content management systems would require writing code to accomplish these tasks, but there is no programming knowledge required to do them in Drupal.

Drupal was designed for community-based Web sites and has strong user role and access manage functionality. You can create as many custom user roles with custom access levels as you require. For example you could create the following roles, each with different levels of access to your features: “anonymous visitor”, “genuine user”, “editor”, “webmaster”, “admin”. You can keep the advanced user management features (like multiple blogs) turned off if you don’t want them, enabling them later if your site grows to a point where you would like to add more community features.

Large and Friendly Community – With so many major sites using Drupal, it’s not going away soon. For an idea of the size of the developer community, take a look at the long list of community-contributed modules.

There are other open-source alternatives to Drupal Customization: • Joomla Customization – Joomla is not as search engine friendly out of the box as Drupal.• WordPress Customization – WordPress is outstanding, but if you require something more strongly or are building a site that you might want to extend in the prospect you should be considering Drupal.

WordPress is a Content Management System and is a free open source for blog publishing application. It is an extremely useful tool, and is highly recommended when taking you or your business online. Many people, from the small business owner, to the entrepreneur, to even big corporations use WordPress to express their online presence. To make use of it, you have to first download and install a script called WordPress from the site WordPress.org. Now you will be needing a webhost that at least meets the minimum requirements. You can use it for almost any website that you want and is completely customizable. WordPress has a new WordPress-based blog service that you can create in seconds and its totally for free. There are components to using the free service though. One great thing with WordPress is you can rearrange the widgets you have on your site without even editing HTML or the PHP codes.  You can also adjust the themes that you install, and they can be changed easily to a new theme because WordPress mostly uses a templating system. The PHP and HTML codes may be edited allowing more advanced customizations for your site. WordPress also features integrated link management and automatic filters for style and formatting of texts in the articles used on your site. Not to mention that it also nice with trackback and pingback standards, you can display links to another sites that are linked to an article or post. WordPress only supports one web blog per every installation. To fix that, blogs can exist simultaneously by using the Worsdpress Multi-User that was created by WordPress. It’s now possible to control the blogging community and moderate the blogs from a single dashboard for anyone who has a website from WordPress.  This is definitely another perk of using WordPress with your online presence. Since WordPress is a free service, you will also be able to find some free templates to use for the look of your site. Even still, in the case you find a look that you must have that does have an investment to use it, you’ll find that the investments are minute compared to having a web developer design a custom site for you.In order to build your own site with WordPress, you will want to educate yourself on the basics so that you don’t spend hours attempting to build your site and have it only look mediocre. You’ll also want to educate yourself on WordPress so you don’t tinker with the coding incorrectly and mess up your whole site. So familiarize yourself before making pretend you’re a web developer.  It will be much more cost efficient ’cause you wont need to worry about hiring a web developer in the end just to fix just a tiny error you made from lack of experience with WordPress. Please keep in mind to back up of your site on a secure server often so that you have your most recent updates updated in case of an error.

A content management systems, or CMS, is a great way to manage the content of your website, especially if you have a larger website and different people who are responsible for different parts of the website.
If you have a large website with many “static” website pages and you’re tired of waiting for your IT staff or webmaster to make changes to the website, a content management system will put you in the driver’s seat and make it easy for you
Advantages:
- Administration system for updating content without the need for HTML
- Easy to change look and feel using a few templates
- Database is used to manage text content
- Non-technical staff can create, edit, approve and approve website pages
- Control over approval of changes
- Ability to deliver different content to public and registered users
Three CMS examples
There are many different content management systems available, some of which are free, open-source applications such as Joomla! and many commercial systems such as Interspire’s Website Publisher. Depending on your website requirements, Design-First will recommend the best CMS solution.
Joomla!
Joomla has emerged in the last few years as one the most popular open-source CMS applications. Joomla! uses PHP and mySQL and is extremely versatile. It is more than simply popular-it just works well and a volunteer community keeps making it better and better.
Because it is open source, there are thousands of “extensions” or small mini-components created by individual programmers and commercial software companies, which work within the Joomla! framework to give your website many different capabilities-from social networking to ecommerce and more.
Joomal features include:
- Search by keyword and advanced search capability
- Registration system for users with different menus for different groups
- Users can be assigned editing and publishing privileges
- Entirely web-based administration system
- Uses PHP and mySQL
- Open source code
- Over 3,000 extensions to provide many exciting website features
Interspire Website Publisher
While Website Publisher may not be considered as versatile as Joomla! in terms of available extensions, it is a robust, mature, well-supported CMS product with many great built-in features.
Website Publisher Features:
- Search by keyword and advanced search capability
- Users can be assigned editing and publishing privileges
- Entirely web-based administration system
- Uses PHP and mySQL
- Search engine optimized
- Article, news and blog sytem
- Many built-in templates
WordPress
WordPress is a content management system focused around blogging. Like Joomla!, it is open-source and it supports a “plugin” framework, allowing websites using WordPress to have different capabilities, based on different website requirements.
WordPress Features:
- Search by keyword and advanced search capability
- Easy to use web-based administration system
- Uses PHP and mySQL
- Search engine optimized
- Hundreds of available plugins
- Open source code
- Thousands of templates
What Content Management System is right for your website?
This depends on your business needs or website goals for the most part and how quickly you need your website up and running.
If you are building an informational website that you plan to expand into a portal or community website, Joomla! will be a better choice. Joomla! would be overkill for a simple blog website.
For many businesses, Interspire’s Website Publisher is a great choice for managing hundreds or even thousands of pages, and has blogging capability built in.

You must work everyday if you want to drive traffic and business everyday to your Commercial Property Investor Network website. Write and submit Commercial property articles,to various article directories  that will promote your investment strategy. Article directories use professional content on their web sites, to promote your articles without cost to you.  Professional content article marketing, will give you what you put into it.  You must write relevant content, and write regularly.

If you are starting a marketing strategy on a shoestring, it may feel like there is just no way at all to get started online while you try to attract investors to your network.  This article is written to show you how to get started building a Commercial Property Investment Network on a shoestring, and how to really grow your list of accredited investors.

If you have a budget, you can learn quickly how to attract a list of approved accredited investors, you start advertising, and you are in business, hopefully making money in a short period of time.

You have a budget for advertising and market development or you do not. It does not matter.

You can begin to develop a Commercial Property Investor Network , and lose track of your marketing efforts, once you connect with investors willing to invest in your acquisition.  I suggest you reinvest  money into paid versions of the services you use to continue marketing to new potential investors.  You can easily become disenfranchised with the time you have to spend online, and your growth will become an issue.  One important thing about starting at the beginning is that you cannot take any money out of the marketing results at first. Anything that you might generate from your online efforts should be reinvested right back into your marketing.

The following series of steps involve free advertising, free products  and tools, and free methods of traffic generation.  Although they do not cost any money, they cost time, and you must be willing to spend a considerable amount of time marketing to drive traffic (and potential investors) to your commercial properties offerings.

Once you have a website and an auto responder service set up, you need to drive traffic to your site.  This is where you will spend most of your time.  My favorite form of free marketing is article writing and submission to my targeted niche.

The first thing you need to do is determine exactly what kind of an online investor network you want to develop. In commercial property acquisition, I suggest you target accredited and/or sophisticated investors.

Develop a website. There are several free web site hosting companies that include free site builder software.  Just type in “free web hosting” into a search engine and you will have lots of choices.  You will usually have limited space, and the site will have advertising on it to support the company.  Keep in mind, you are just getting started, so you will not need a lot of space; once you develop the need for more space you can upgrade to a paid version. The advertising is the compromise you make for starting out on a shoestring.

The next thing you need is an auto responder, so you can keep in touch with your client list.  There are several free versions of auto responder services available.  Again, they will be limited and have advertising, but again, once you are making money, you can upgrade to a paid service with more functionality.

By far the most lucrative method I have used is WordPress. That is right, WordPress, did you know you can create a website using the WordPress blog platform and cannot tell the difference from an expensive website?  Search for WordPress website development to get started. You can develop your own website and fire your webmaster. A particular advantage is that you can add ongoing content as you grow without being a slave to a  timeframe dictated by an overworked webmaster.

Over the last few years, WordPress has completely dominated the Content Management System (CMS) market and has become the industry leader. There are many reasons why people enjoy using WordPress. WordPress allows people to edit their sites more easily, save time and work more efficiently in general. Read on to learn more about WordPress as a content management system.
Wordpress – Not Just for Blogging!
Most people know WordPress as a blogging platform. Although WordPress can be used as a blogging platform, it’s far from its only use.
In fact, WordPress has become overwhelmingly popular as a Content Management System for normal, static websites. Even websites that are updated less than once a month often use WordPress for its speed and ease of use.
The Purpose of a Content Management System
There are many reasons why you might want to use a CMS. Here are some of the most common reasons:
- Multiple people are working on the project. If that’s the case, people who can’t edit HTML often need to be able to edit the site as well. WordPress is a great way to allow people to do that.
- A CMS system makes handling large amounts of content far easier. For example, if you want to change the linking structure among 100 pages, normally that would take hours. However with WordPress you can make those changes in just minutes.
- You can edit things faster and easier. Rather than tweaking layouts and HTML, WordPress has usually done all the heavy lifting for you.
The list goes on and on. In short, using a CMS system is easier, faster and less of a hassle than trying to code a website in HTML.
Free Themes Speed Up Design
One key reason WordPress has become so popular is because of your ability to import free themes into WordPress.
A theme is a design or “look” of a website. Instead of having to hire a designer to design a website for you from scratch, you can just download a free theme and put it on your site.
You can have a very professionally designed website in just minutes of putting your website up. Your content will automatically be plugged into the theme and everything will look amazing.
There are literally hundreds of free WordPress themes for you to choose from online. For just about any kind of website, there’s a WordPress theme that’ll work for it.
Wordpress versus Other CMS Systems
Wordpress is generally considered the best CMS until you get to very high end services.
Wordpress is simply easier to use and learn than other CMS systems. For example, Joomla, another free CMS system, just takes far too long to learn. Over time users have stopped using other free CMS systems and stuck with just WordPress.
If you’re running a multi-million dollar company with thousands of pages, its possible WordPress’s capabilities might not fulfill what you’re looking for. But for any small to medium sized business, WordPress is more than enough as a powerful Content Management System.

Knowing how to use a content management website software can give you the edge when websites are becoming more abundant. Just because there are alot of sites out there it does not mean that all the sites are well-structured ones. Using a content management system can help so that you do not have to understand coding or dreamweaver you just need to understand your CMS of choice. Popular content management systems include Drupal, Joomla and WordPress they all are similar but have some differences that make them all unique. Drupal and Joomla are more for a complex website and WordPress although can do many of the things Joomla and Drupal can do it is more geared towards blogging.

A popular way to build a website today is to use private label articles for the content. Since there are a number of ways to set up a site strategically with these articles, here are some basics to get you started.
First of all, make sure that your private label articles are unique and branded. If you’ve purchased the articles from a place that sells the same ones to others, revise them a little and insert your own content here and there to make them a little different from those of fellow article buyers.
Next get a website up and running. Fast and easy places to turn for this are http://DotcomBuilder.com and http://GoDaddy.com where you get help setting up professionally designed templates almost instantly, even entire turnkey operations with DotcomBuilder.
You can also set up cheap hosting and sites with http://HostGator.com. After you sign up, head to your cpanel or control panel, and set up modules via the Fantastico button there: WordPress blogs, Joomla content management sites, forums and more.
Use your private label articles any number of ways like these:
- To discuss your products and services. After you can set up your basic index page announcing your main product(s) or service(s), set up the navigation or menu tabs with your other pages like About Us, Ordering, Contact Us. Add another menu tab for Articles, and then link private label articles to an Article page.
- To create article directories. Add a script that sets up a directory on your site like ones at http://GoArticles.com and http://EzineArticles.com. Then start filling out your article categories with your articles, and invite your readers to submit their content, too, to increase traffic, links and rank popularity.
- To grow a forum. Head back to your cpanel or control panel and add a discussion board or forum through your Fantastico module. Then set up a section for Articles on your forum and submit yours there. Invite your website visitors to register and submit their articles, too, and get discussion going around your article themes, products and services.
- To set up a review area. People love to read product and service reviews. Use your private label articles as content surrounding reviews or in addition to them, inserting more specific information within them. Then set up a Review section, similar to an Article section, with a tab on your menu, or converting an article directory script to product review directory. Get creative!
- To post case studies. Another popular reason people surf the net if to read case studies. So use your private label articles as content for case studies in your niche industries. You can add quotes from experts, add video or audio clips, stats and more.
There are many more ways to use your private label articles as cheap website content. Dig in and learn all you can about private label rights and in particular private label rights articles to see how your business can benefit.

There has been talk about using WordPress beyond the typical blog set-up, into the realms of a full-fledged content management system or CMS. Yet, most people have no idea how this is even possible.
I have to stress that the default WordPress software is intended to be a blogging tool, so if you’re trying to make it work like a different type of content management tool you’ll have to use the correct plugins (enhancements) and have the a clear idea of what you want to achieve.
While the exact step-by-step method is out of the scope of this article, lets explore some of the ways you can use WordPress, as I have personally done before.
1) WordPress as An Article Directory
To make WordPress work as an article directory, you’ll need a special plugin, and a source for the articles. MyArticleMarketer.com is the perfect tool for this, as the articles there are usually human-approved. They also encourage free distribution of their articles to other article sites.
After you have set-up the WordPress plugin, you need to sign-up for Article Marketer’s distribution list. By filling in their form and specifying the categories (or choose all categories), you automatically qualify to receive all old and new articles that are submitted to MyArticleMarketer.com
However, with WordPress as an article directory, you’ll only be able to receive syndicated articles. Authors won’t be able to sign-up or create an account directly with you. It’s also against MyArticleMarketer.com’s terms or service to encourage authors to sign-up directly with you.
2) WordPress as a Membership Site
You can set-up a free or paid membership site using WordPress. All it takes is a few simple plugins to get the job done. Once you’ve installed the plugins, members will need to login to your site in order to view the content. You can also place a login form in your WordPress theme files to make it easy for users to lo in and out of your membership site.
However, the plugins only create a simple membership system, so if you’re looking to create different membership levels and more advanced features, you’d probably want to sign-up with a professional membership system like AmemberPro.net and use their available plugins to ingrate with WordPress.
At the time of writing, AmemberPro.net has available plugins for a reasonable cost and these will be installed by their support team, so you don’t have to worry about the technical setbacks.
3) WordPress as a Classified Ads System
Wordpress can work like any other classifieds website too. Users can sign-up on your site and place classifieds in the form of new blog posts. They can even set expiry dates for their ads and specify listings or “wanted” ads.
However, you will need to create all the necessary categories and even create a sign-up information page to teach your users how to place ads. The upside of using WordPress as a classifieds site is that you can also use tagging tactics to get traffic from social bookmarking sites and sites like Technorati.com
4) WordPress as an Audio / Video Training Site
Using the membership plugins mentioned above or AmemberPro.net’s WordPress compatibility plugins, you can create a membership site with WordPress. Then, all you need to do is to add the “Podpress” plugin which takes care of all audio and video elements on your website.
You will be able to display and stream MP3 audio or FLV video using their built-in players. The Podpress plugin is really robust and also allows you to specify setting on iTunes, so you can make this commercially and available to the entire iPod / iTunes community.
As you can see by now, there’s a whole lot of possibilities when it comes to using WordPress to the extreme.
I’ve created an entire video training system to help newbies and advanced marketers alike master WordPress. Yet, every day brings new possibilities to using WordPress as a complex CMS instead of the modest blogging tool it was designed to be!

If you are thinking of creating your own website, you might want to look at many different options before deciding on which is best for you. Doing your homework is definitely worthwhile. If you’re thinking about specific programs like Site Build It, its worth test driving first to see if it meets your needs. There are many programs for building your own website such as Site Build It which is a solution for website design and promotion by Site Sell.
The best way to find out if this is best for you is to do some research and read up on product reviews so you can find out if a program is at your knowledge level and find out what experiences others have had with it. You can find comparison shopping reviews and forums with information about what people work with, where they’ve found success and other potential solutions for your e-commerce needs. Red flags are also a good thing to read up on when trying to decide if a content management solution is worthwhile for you.
Site Build touts itself as not your usual web hosting where you pay a subscription and get very little with it. Instead of just getting yourself a domain name, buying web hosting and then adding something such as WordPress , SiteSell’s product allows you to promote your own products and do so simply. It’s apparently great for the novice as well as the expert with scalable solutions.
Unless you know a great deal about e-commerce sites you are in way over your head with a solution that isn’t designed to work for a novice. Another problem, in the majority of cases is that e-commerce sites involve a great deal of money in start up costs; which may not be what you want if you are just starting an online business. In order to set up an e-commerce site you need to know how to go about sourcing a product as well as the hundred and one other things needed to build a professional looking site – and an e-commerce site has to look professional if you are going to convince people that your site is safe enough to protect their credit card details if they decide to buy.
Site Build It and Site Sell advertise a complete CMS system that allows you to work in a niche of your choosing and provides you with all the tools to develop a professional looking e-commerce, multi-media, high traffic and multi-income streamed website.
The system comes complete with video tutorials that demonstrate everything from how to choose your niche and pick the right keywords and then some. It also gives you everything that you will need and a step by step guide to building your own website. This site is said to be similar to Blue Host (a web hosting program where you choose your domain and have ftp tools) and WordPress all rolled into one but with more control and much more flexibility. SBI will even analyze all of your pages to ensure that they are properly search engine optimized before you submit your site to the search engines. This is a system that can soon have you up and running with all you need to build a professional and profitable e-commerce website.
Is this the right program for you? That’s not a question with an absolute answer but judging by online feedback and comparisons it looks like a really great option to look closer at.

Since the release of WordPress, web users have customized this blogging software to suit their own needs. On of the most established needs in today’s computing world is the need for content management, particularly, a Content Management System (CMS). With its rich set of features and flexibility, WordPress can be customized into a major CMS.
Content Management System
Content management can be described as the process of creating, managing and publishing online content sans any programming or technical skills. If used properly, content management saves time and money. An effective content management can be attained by utilizing a content management system.
A content management system is a web-based application connected to a database that allows users to update a website without having to know any HTML (Hypertext Markup Language, standard language with which all web pages are built). It is software used to manage websites and web content. A CMS facilitates the maintenance of content but not the design on a website.
Without CMS, updating a website say, posting a new article would involve manually changing the home page and archives and creating a new page from scratch for the article itself. Coupled with this, if a user wants other pages to link to the article like a list of current articles in the sidebar of pages, he has to change all these manually as well.
With CMS, a user just logs in and adds the article heading to a specific category. He then enters the content and ends by selecting some tags to describe the article. The CMS will automatically put the title, date and the first paragraph on the home page. He then constructs a new page for the article and adds the article to an archive by date and category.
As can be gleamed, CMS does away with inconvenient manual tasks and streamlines the updating process. A CMS manages content efficiently from the time of creation to publication. A content management system establishes a definitive approach to effectively publish, store and organize content for the users.
Content management systems offered by different vendors have varied benefits and functions that a user can select from according to his needs. A CMS can be expensive or absolutely free like WordPress. It really depends on how complex the site is and what needs to be done.
Most blogging software programs are considered a particular type of CMS. They have CMS features for creating and maintaining a blog. They make publishing on the Internet as easy as writing an article, giving it a title and setting it up under one or more categories. Basic blogging software provides an interface where a user can work in an intuitive manner while the blogging software handles the presentation and publication. A blogger gets to concentrate on writing and the blogging tool functioning as a content management system takes care of the rest of the site operation. WordPress is an example of blogging software.

WordPress as a Content Management System
A distinct characteristic of a CMS is that it singles out content from presentation. Content consists of text, images or other information shared in posts. This is separate from the structural design of a site which provides the foundation into which the content is inserted and the presentation of a site which involves graphic design. Content is stored in a database. A user can change the look of a site with a few changes to style sheets such as CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and other layout features that define the font styles and sizes, colors, backgrounds and positions. In like manner, WordPress stores content in a database and the WordPress Theme (layout/design) controls the look of how the content is displayed.
A CMS has control over what content shows up and where ads, related posts, comments and other interactive elements appear on a web page. But with the plug-ins and add-ons available in WordPresss, a user can also add these features to his blog. A user can turn WordPress into a full-fledged CMS with the many options, customizations and controls accessible to him.
There are a number of options a user can use to make WordPress works like a CMS. Most CMS sites control what articles appear on the front page. In WordPress, a user can make use of the Semiologic Opt-in FrontPage Plug-in that lets him choose which post will appear on his front page. Podcasting, videoblogging, adding music and images are possible with WordPress. There are plenty of elements that a user can add to WordPress to enhance connectivity and functions. Signing up for mailing lists, newsletters and other information to be disseminated can be done with WordPress. A user can even set up e-commerce with WordPress. Adding ads to a WordPress site is as simple as placing the ad information into the proper template file. Forums and bulletin boards are integrated with WordPress. Every WordPress user has a role that determines his rights within the application. This is particularly useful to control the flow of certain content. Another valuable feature of WordPress is its built-in moderation feature. This allows the user to approve messages before they get posted. The WP-ShortStart Plug-in renders Statistic monitoring. Lastly, a user’s CMS site won’t be complete without a way to handle external and internal links. WordPress has a number of plug-ins that can be used for this purpose.
Simply put, WordPress has sophisticated features that make it a powerful content management system.

In today’s world though WordPress is better known as blogging software program, still it is being used for other things aside from regular blogging purpose due to its versatility. Most of us know that WordPress is open source software with the strong support from a community of developers; WordPress can be used as CMS-Content Management System. Writing articles is a great way to share information and experiences when you start your own internet business. It is good to do it right in the beginning, because writing actually is the only way to do it. Actually the frequency should be quite high in the start.Your target group search the solutions for their questions by typing keywords into the search bars. Your article has to use the same keywords in order to be able to respond this need. This is the reason, why the article must be optimized, i.e. it has to include the right keywords with the right density. With the optimized articles you serv the search engines and they will thank you by placing the articles high on their result pages.I do not touch these technical questions here, because here I concentrate on the article content.1. The Article Planning Quarantees The Quality. The article has different parts, which all have different tasks. The article planning is an easy way to build the right structure to the article. It has to influence on the thinking and on the behaviour of the reader, it is like a short film, where the start, intro, middle part and the end have all their own jobs.First decide, what is the idea of the article. This article for instance has an idea to tell about the right way to build the content. So what you want that the reader think or do when he has read your article? Do you want that he will click the link? Where is the beef? Is there honestly a certain useful thing in the article?2. The Article Promise Must Be In The Title. When you start your own internet business and start writing articles, the only thing you have in use is the copy, there are no images and the only link is in the Bio Box. The most important part of the copy is of course the title. With the title your article will be a winner or the looser, it determines everything in the beginning. There must be a clear promise, what a reader benefits about this article? The title and the teaser will be seen on the lists of the article directories, so the title just has to draw the attention of the searchers, to shout the promise.Put your main keyword among the first 4 words of the headline, like my start your own internet business, it will help the search engines to find out the article for the readers.3. The Teaser Deepens The Emotional Enthusiasm. If the headline wakes up the readers interest, the teaser goes even deeper by using an emotional copystyle. The reader will get the feeling that the coming information is really excited and useful.4.The Article Body Tells Benefits, But Not All.When you start your own internet business and start the article writing, you have to place the major benefits, which the reader gets into the body of the article. But not all, leave the big secret into the landing page. It will be a surprise.5.The Peak Of The Enthusiasm Is In The Last Paragraph. When you start your own internet business it is important to share useful information and to arouse the enthusiasm at the same time. An article is like a movie, the enthusiasm fluctuates up and down, so there must be enough bites for the reader. He has to have the feeling that the content is worth to read to the end.The end of the article offers the happy end effect. Wow, what an article!6.The Bio Box Copy Makes The Reader To Click. An effective Bio Box contains the name of the author, the reason, why the author is an expert on his area and how the reader benefits from the visit to the landing page. The job of the Bio Box is to call the reader into action, to make him to click the link. When you start your own internet business, the planning gives the article the right structure and educate yourself to write more useful articles for your readers. But still the copystyle makes the article to fly!
