I have designed my website but not constructed yet. I was advised to use wordpress as I mentioned “blog” as part of my website. I don’t want to blog myself. I want people to create their own blogs on my website (because it is very much subject related), and also other people can leave comments on each others’ blogs.
Can wordpress do this?
If yes, is there a limit to the number of people creating blogs?
If not, can you suggest another opensource, php based tool?
Right now im using Blogger for my three blogs.
They are not commercial, just fun things I like to do.
I do a little HTML and CSS editing
Should i use wordpress or something else?
Please reccomend good free blogging services

I’m considering starting a new blog for the sole purpose of making money. I already have a personal blog through WordPress, but WordPress won’t allow blogsto use adsense or other ad services, which would completely defeat the purpose for me.
What other sites can I use to create a new blog for this purpose? I need something user-friendly (I am NO HTML or CSS expert) that can grow with me.
I told a BIG fib to a friend about how well my blog is doing, and now she wants to see it.
How do I change the dates of entries and comments in a WordPress blog to previous dates? I’m not entirely sure if this can be done, but one blogger I follow has done this several times. He actually does have a ton of comments and won’t return my message.
If you do not know how to do this in WordPress, I will accept it in the form of another blog such as BlogSpot or Xanga.
I am proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Even if you throw some serious programming language at me, I should be able to handle it.
p.s. wisecracks should be saved for another asker, any useful advice will be appreciated immensely

i’m using blogger currently for it is very efficient to use. but i want to experience more flexibility in my blog and i want a blogging tool that offers to “add another page” to my blog. and i really don’t understand php, cgi, mysql, stuffs like that.
wordpress could be good if i know php stuffs, but in reality i don’t. i only know html.
any suggestion? best blogging tool in my case? or anyone who has a golden heart to put up a wordpress site for me?
I know nothing about blogging or html – which one is more user friendly?
WordPress was VERY thorough on their tour, yet Blogger seems to really punctuate their simplicity. Simple is good.
Can you point out an pro’s & con’s of each?

I’m about to start my own blog and I was curious as to what would be the best possible blogging platform to use? I used Blogger back when it was all HTML none of these nifty widgets they seem to have now and it seems nicer when it comes to styling your blog, but I feel like WordPress would be easier to get myself out there it’s more widely known.
I’ll be paying for domain space at a blog site, like Typepad or WordPress, etc. I don’t want to use any of their templates, but my own custom HTML and CSS. Obviously I want to get the best value for my money. What’s the best site?
I do not have enough knowledge to create a reasonably functioning blog with comments and all that, so I can’t make it entirely on my own.

I’m a web designer and am new to blogging. A potential client has asked me about putting a blog on their website. However, I have never made a blog before (mostly because it’s never asked for). I have looked into WordPress and it seems really confusing and completely uncustomizable (like you can’t make your own custom page and then just put a snippet of code in the place you want a comments area to be, you have to use a template). I’m not sure on the details of what the client wants, but I assume they want their new site to be able to allow users to make comments. How would I do this? Does anybody know of a good online blogging service or, more importantly, know of a tutorial I can use to set this up? Also, please do not include suggestions that involve heavy or advanced programming. I’m a designer, not a programmer. Thank you all in advance!

o.k, I want to start blogging at WORDPRESS.ORG, which they say u have to download it and install it on your host, and run some configuration scripts, & set up a database.
NOW, what programming language(s) should I learn to enable me do all that?
I know very less about databases and scripting !?!?!?……
How am I going to start blogging in wordpress.org with that limited knowledge???
I just installed it and usually with the blogging programs you have a code to put it on to your website, but i can’t find the code for wordpress
does anyone know the code?! or where to find it?!?
