A great way to quickly create a website is using a pre-designed website template. You can easily find free or paid templates on many websites through the web.

Free Templates.

If you’re really determined to get a template for free, a better way of doing it is to use the ones that come for free with whatever software you’re using. WordPress or Joomla, for example, has some very clean, attractive templates. However you do it, though, you have to realise that free templates will never be unique: your website will look just like hundreds of other websites out there that found the same free template you did.

Cheap Templates.

Once you start to get into the territory of paid-for templates, things start to look up. The idea behind sites that sell templates is that they can pay designers a proper rate to do something good once, and then resell it as many times as they want for a relatively low price. This lets designers be paid for as many designs as they want without ever having to deal with customers, and it lets customers buy and use the designs for a much lower price than they’d usually pay for something a lot worse – and that they can’t see in advance.

Exclusive Templates.

After realising how much some people dislike other sites being able to use their design, many template sites started selling exclusive templates – ones that are only sold once, to one website, and then taken down. They found themselves with a runaway hit on their hands.

This way, designers are free to create something great, and customers can take it if they like it or look at hundreds of alternatives if they don’t. It takes all the uncertainty and negotiation out at both ends, and leaves both the designer and the customer much happier than they would have been. Of course, if there is something small you want changed, most sites are happy to get the designer to do it for you for a small extra fee.

The choice is upto you on which path to take with designing your website. We hope this article has helped, good luck and happy designing..

I’m frequently asked to look at a website and evaluate it for usability, SEO, and social media optimization (SMO). At times, I’m asked, “What should I fix first?” Below are the five most important things that can usually be done by novices to optimize a site for both the search engines and social media sites.

1) Write good page titles: These titles, which are shown at the top of your browser, are the most important thing you easily control when optimizing a site. Even if you’re using an online “fill in the blank” template program, you can usually control the names of the pages. Just putting the name of your business isn’t enough. You need to have targeted keywords in that title. For example, if you’re selling widgets with a company called “Widgettes”, and your customer base is mostly in the Albequerque, New Mexico area, don’t make the front page title “Widgettes, Inc.“. Instead, try “Albequerque, New Mexico Widgets, from Widgettes, Inc.” Also, make the title different for each page and make it reflect what’s on the page.

2) Maintain your website: You’d be surprised how many people overlook this one. Some search engines will lower your ranking for things like broken links or images. More importantly it looks bad for the people who do find your site. You should check your site every few days to make sure nothing is falling apart. You do that with your house or your office building (I hope). You should do it with your virtual storefront too!

3) Blog (the verb AND the noun): Blogs are painfully easy to build these days. If someone is building your site for you, ask him or her to set one up. If you’re doing your own site, check with your host. I use GoDaddy, which makes it extremely easy to install WordPress. The most important things about blogging are to do it frequently, and give people quality content. Three posts a week should be your goal. If you’re selling widgets, why not talk about a novel use for a widget or even how to select the right one? If you do that, they may link to your blog, and links are the ultimate goal. Additionally, if you see an interesting article that someone else wrote about widgets, post it on your blog and give the author credit. One last point — if you’re creating a blog for link building, don’t use free services like Blogger. If someone links to your blog on Blogger, it only helps Blogger’s search engine ranking. If the blog is on YOUR site, the link helps you.

4) Build links: I mentioned this above, but I’ll say it again: Link building should be your top goal. Search engines look at links as recommendations. If your site has enough recommendations from other relevant sites, then you’ll be rewarded with higher search engine rankings. There are a lot of ways to build links. Not many of them are easy, but not many of them require you to be an expert in search engines. Building a blog and keeping it populated with quality content is one way to build links. You might also contact a complimentary business and suggest they use some of your blog content. Additionally, get involved in the blogging community for your business, if there is one. If people see your name on smart blog comments enough times, they may consider you an expert. Additionally, when you post on other blogs, use a signature that has your website address in it. In some cases, that will count as a link back to your site. At the very least it might get them to visit your site.

5) Submit articles and blog posts to social media sites: There are literally dozens of different social bookmarking sites. My favorites are Digg, Del.icio.us, Ma.gnolia, Reddit, and Stumbleupon. You can find a great list and explanation of each in this article on the site SEOmoz. Sites like these were created so people could list interesting content and share it with others. So, obviously, it’s a great place to gather links and credibility if you have interesting content. Don’t spam these sites with every little announcement about a new employee or whatever. Use it to spread your good content.

There may be a variety of reasons why you want to start an internet home business. If you have been searching for possibilities to do so, it is likely that you have come across the term affiliate marketing.
1. What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing an ideal way to start an internet home business. It is the process by which you put out information, in a variety of ways, to promote a particular product or service and you get paid a commission on your sales. Commission rates are set at the time you sign up and are usually paid automatically to you through your unique ID via a secure payment system.
The beauty of this type of internet home business is that you don’t have to spend valuable time creating your own products but can jump onto someone else’s bandwagon. If you are looking for ways to add to your present income or want to start an internet home business, affiliate marketing is one of the easiest places to start.
2. Is there Enough Internet Home Business Out There?
I recently Googled affiliate marketing and it came back with nearly 15 million listings. Internet home business opportunities are absolutely huge. You may think that affiliate marketing opportunities are all sown up already. It might appear so, but the reality is that if you have a particular interest or expertise you can create internet home business niche affiliates market all of your own.
Focusing in on a specialised niche is the key when it comes to building an internet home business using affiliate marketing. If you do what everyone else is doing, then you are going to be a very small fish in a huge ocean. If, on the other hand, you choose carefully, your internet home business niche could become a big fish in a small pond. Get the idea?
3. Do I Need A Website if I am Beginning An Internet Home Business?
The short answer is yes – you do need a website. Most simply, this could be in the form of a blog. You can set up a blog in a very short time with either Typepad or WordPress. Either of these, and there are others, will give you enough of a starter platform for your internet home business to get going.
Don’t get bogged down with designing a website. That can come later. A blog will provide all that you need to start to promote your internet home business and talk about products and services as an affiliate marketer.
4. Where Do I Find Products to Sell Online?
To get started as quickly as possible you can go to one of the sites such as Clickbank or Paydotcom where you will find thousands of products listed under different categories.
Clickbank and Paydotcom (and there are others) are set up so that once you register with one of them you will be given a unique ID. Then you can browse and find possible products to sell from your internet home business. Everything is carefully laid out for you including the commission rates. You can search for the most successful or the highest or lowest rates. Do remember that the highest rates don’t necessarily mean the best products.
5. How Do I Choose What to Sell?
Earlier I mentioned that you can develop your own internet home business with niche affiliate marketing in whatever field interests you or in which you have some expertise.
Take some time to list what these areas may be, as the more specific you can be, the more likely you are to find a possible niche which will make your internet home business stand out. On the other hand, don’t be so specific that you are really limiting the market you are aiming at. Don’t only look for products or services directly concerned with your chosen niche, but also for others that are related in some way.
Beginning an internet home business with affiliate marketing can be a very exciting way to cash in on something that you have a real passion for in the first place. That passion, together with expertise, will drive your internet home business and will engage your readers and future customers.

Blogging has very quickly become an online activity that people all over the world are turning to for information, ideas or to promote an online business. Blogs have been popular for years, but are really “hot” right now. To borrow a term from the fashion industry, blogs can be considered “on-trend”!
Online blogs, or “weblogs”, were originally used as journals or online diaries by people just wishing to share their lives with friends, family, and other likeminded and interested readers. However, blogs have since taken on a more serious business dimension and are used by all successful internet marketers as an essential marketing tool. Regular bloggers have become an influential online presence, as more and more people are turning to blogs, not just for information, but for recommendations and reviews.
It is not difficult to start a blog, but if you eventually want to make money from blogging, then you must make sure that the blog you set up has the potential to be popular. That will be the key to your success. To properly monetize your blog and make money from it, you will need a large and growing readership, and this should be your aim at all times.
So, how to make sure your blog will be popular? The first thing you must think about is your target audience, your readers. Who are you writing for? Do some research to make sure that your niche is not too vague, and has the potential to attract a large enough readership. Remember you do not have to be a professional or highly skilled writer to create a popular blog. Obviously, you are expected to obey common grammatical rules and be able to put readable sentences together, but you are not there to write the next War and Peace! Blog readers are looking for interesting, informative or amusing topics to read, and quickly get bored with long paragraphs of dull writing. Popular blogs are never boring and manage to add something to reader’s lives and keep them entertained AND informed. This is a sure way of developing a large base of loyal readers, who will stick with you, and provide valuable feedback through their comments and suggestions.
Whether you have set up a free blog on a blogging network like Blogger, or are having your blog independently hosted on something like WordPress, make sure it is well designed, and keep funky detail and colours to a minimum. Remember, the content of your blog is all important, and it must be clear and easy to read.
Driving traffic to your blog is exactly like driving traffic to a website and you can employ some of the same techniques. You can spend days setting up the most magnificent blog ever, but unless you get the word out about it, you will be the only one reading it!
Start with article marketing, one of the tried and tested ways of driving traffic to a website or blog. Don’t overlook social networking sites such as Myspace, Facebook and YouTube as they provide valuable opportunities for adding links to your blog. There are also many social book marking sites like Digg and Faves, where you can promote your blog for free.
You should make every effort to get your blog indexed with the major search engines. If yours is a business blog and you want to properly monetize it, then having a good ranking with the search engines will be a major factor in your success. It will ensure a steady flow of visitors to read your articles and reviews, and to click on your affiliate links.
The higher your rank with the search engines, the more visitors you will receive, and the more popular your blog will become.

Ever thought about having your own web site? Do you have your own website but looking for some affordable solutions for improvement? The freedom of working from home and being your own boss that becoming a webmaster or affiliate marketer offers is very attractive to many. More and more people are turning to the internet as not only a source of information, but as a source of income as well. I thought I would share with everybody some tips and coupons for webmasters and affiliate marketers that I have come across as I am learning how to become one myself.

Webmasters know that developing a good site is much more than just programming. You need a wealth of knowledge that deals with more than just codes and html. I feel it’s important to focus on what you do best, in my case sales and affiliate marketing, however understanding the big picture of creating an effective website should not be overlooked.

Finding a niche that you can be successful at can be difficult, but it is very important. Try using a keyword tool to find the popularity of your potential topic and use that information to judge if it’s something worth pursuing. One of your goals should be to become an authority on a topic so that people will trust you enough to buy things based on your recommendations. Once you figure out what your site will be about, you’ll need to pick a domain name and set up your hosting which usually costs around $50-$100 a year for both.

Creating good copy and content is probably the single most important aspect in web development. It’s often said that “content is king”. Writing about things you are passionate for is widely recommended. In other words, don’t just write about making money because it’s something that you think people will want to know about. If you know a lot about flower pots, then the information you create will be much more useful to your audience and thus much more effective for you. Implementing high quality photos, images, widgets, videos and other useful media to help convey your points can be very effective as well.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is another important aspect for webmasters. Optimizing your sites for search engines like google and yahoo will allow people to find you on the internet much easier. This involves creating title, meta and description tags that mention the keywords you are trying to target, along with on page optimization and link building. For example, if your site will be about Chicago restaurants, you would want to mention those words in all of the tags and about three to five times on your actual website page depending on the amount of content. You’ll want to mention these keywords at least a couple times as this helps google determine what your site is about.

Link building is also very important in determining your site’s rank in search engines. The more high quality related sites that you have linking to you the better. Good places to start would be any associations or organizations that you are a part of. General directories, article directories like this one, facebook, myspace, craigslist, google maps and yahoo local are also great links to have. The age of a site is very important in the eyes of google too, so the sooner you get started the better!

If you are not a designer or not familiar with website design at all, it might be easiest for you to get started with a free blog from google. They supply many free templates and everything you need to get started with having a web presence for free. Otherwise you can find a plethora of high quality template choices from joomla or templatemonster. As time goes on if you want to be taken more seriously, you should consider upgrading your blog to a wordpress and using a custom coded site.

Now it’s up to you on how you would like to monetize your website (not as easy as it sounds). Most people don’t make or sell anything themselves, so affiliate relationships have been growing rapidly in the past couple years. The way this works is pretty simple; you send traffic to a merchant that sells products or services via a text link or banner placed on your site and in return they pay you a percentage of each sale that comes through your site. One website I came across offered a very affordable solution to getting started with affiliate sites for only $49.95. I would also highly recommend the AbestWeb forum. You can learn from some of the best affiliate marketers in the industry and stay abreast on current webmaster and affiliate trends.

Websites are widely regarded as the best marketing tool available nowadays. Whether you have a small business or just looking to make some extra income, gaining a web presence is very important and will only continue to increase in effectiveness as the popularity of the internet grows. Getting a website is much more affordable than most people think, especially with the help of some coupons and deals. It could prove to be one of the best investments you have ever made.

For about 9 months I tryed a number of differnt ways to try and start an online business, useually paying money for info that really didn’t explain itself enough to be able to do it.  But after awhile I noticed that all those programs did was guide you to some one that did and then they wanted to charge you more money.  Well in the end I found that if you go to the right place first, you can get everything you need to get started, giving you free tips along the way.  Once you start making money they have ways you can make it grow faster and be more efficent.  Unlike most progams you try to purchase with get rich quick promises, they will not try to get you to sing up for expensive monthly updates, club memberships, etc. ect. ect…  They do however have indepth ways to enhance your business avaliable. Some are free, some tell you ways to get information on how to expand your buisness.  What it all boils down to is you can cut out all of the moneymaking guru’s who are making alot of money off you and go straight to the source.

I knew nothing when I got started. I didn’t blog, chat, or surf the net like most people do, so it took me awhile to get where i’m at now.  If you already do that or know how to do that, getting started is very easy.  I recently started my first blog and have some information in it that you will need to get started.  Don’t worry, if you check it out it doesn’t mean you will start recieveing E-mails from me or anyone else.  I know that alot of other places make you give your E-mail adress and say that you have to allow offers to be sent to you.  Been there, done that.  In the future, I plan to put up many blogs on how i made money online, but as of now, it only has a plain and simple way to get started.  So all you people out there that like to blog, chat, and visit forums, if you want to make money while your doing it check out my blog at

One of the first things you will notice if you are starting out in the online industry is that you have a constant and always expanding need for fresh content on your websites. The more sites you own, the more content you need. While many people think about “videos” and “pics” when they hear the word content, search engines value text and links with much more weight than any images.

One way you can maximize your content is by syndicating some of it to your other sites. The concept is very similar to the days when newspapers dominated before the internet existed – when one good writer would sell an article to many publishers, who would each reprint it in many different newspapers all over the country. Syndication allows you to write less new content and to reuse some of your best content on more than one website.

There are major negative implications of using duplicate text and links on many sites involving search engine traffic, but the algorithms do allow for “snippets” of content to appear in multiple places without harm, so long as the overall content of each site remains substantially different from any other website. It’s very important to point out that original content is absolutely, without a doubt, always far better than syndicated content when you have a choice of using one or the other.

Creating your own syndication system involves setting up an RSS Feed. You have probably heard the term RSS before, it stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” RSS was originally pioneered in the late 1990s, but several different versions were being created at the same time and that is part of the reason why some of the terms and tags used in RSS are less uniform than other aspects of web development. RSS is often used to share content more easily between websites or to allow surfers to be alerted by feeds they subscribe to when new content is added on their favorite websites.

At its heart, RSS uses many of the same programming elements as HTML source code. Webmasters with a strong grasp of HTML will probably be able to reverse-engineer their own feeds from an existing example pretty easily. However, for webmasters with a less code-centric set of skills, there are alternatives that work almost as well. For example, WordPress.com and other build-your-own Blog sites offer free services, including RSS Generators, to help site publishers get their content syndicated.

Pre-fabricated Blog sites do allow basic RSS feeds to be generated with a just a few clicks, but as with any other aspect of website publishing, you can always do more when you are the one hosting and customizing your own content to suit your own needs.

The reason RSS gets a little tricky is that the RSS feed tag and code work needs to work in harmony with both the database you are drawing the information from and the Reader you are sending that content to on another website or browser. For experienced coders, RSS may stand for “Really Simple Syndication”, but for novices trying to sort it all out, RSS can also be seen as “Really Sucky Syndication” as well.

There are many trustworthy sites with “How To” RSS tutorials, which give a more in-depth set of instructions and examples along with advanced feed tips for webmasters seeking to educate themselves. One of the best starting points is SearchEngineWatch.com, which offers useful basic information and links to more in-depth examples.

Once you believe your RSS Feed is properly constructed, you can also visit a Feed Validator site like: http://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/rss2.html to check the feed and make sure it is at least minimally compatible with basic RSS standards.

Many site owners have started to offer more complex RSS Feeds for affiliates to use, given the increasing demand and competition. If you recall earlier, I mentioned that duplicated content is a strong negative factor for search engine optimization. So, in an instance where a large sponsor is making text blocks available to vast numbers of affiliates, the amount of duplication across sites that publish the feeds becomes significant.

One way sites deal with the duplication issues is to create “morphing” feeds. These advanced RSS feeds actually re-order words or substitute a variety of sentences each time an entry is pulled by a user so that each feed becomes at least slightly different from all other versions of the feed being used by other webmasters. While morphing feeds do partially answer the problem of duplicate content, they often fail to generate text that humans would enjoy reading.

The simplest way to make an RSS Feed is of course to hire someone. Competent third party coders charge $100 or less to create a feed for you and any coder you hire should be able to easily explain what they have done so that you can create additional feeds or amend existing ones on your own. With an ever-growing need for content and a very small expense to have your RSS Feed generated correctly by a professional programmer, it really is the simplest way to get your sites syndicated.

If you want to start blogging for money, then here are some important point you need to consider so you can start your success on how to make money from your blog.

Step 1: Choose a blog platform. Each one of us has the choice what type of blog platform one can use. You can start out with free blog platforms such as Blogger or WordPress. If you have the budget, you can start right away with a paid domain and hosting.

Step 2: Choose a blog niche.Once you have your blog platform ready, you can now think deeply on the niche that you will be writing about. Choose a niche that interests you, one that is popular and one that you can sustain in terms of content and credibility.

Web 2.0 is defined as a set of Web-based software services that encourage users to become more involved in the creation and manipulation of data. Web 2.0 websites allow users to do more than just retrieve information. As the name suggests, Web 2.0 represents an important shift in the way digital information is created, shared, stored, distributed, and manipulated. In the years ahead, it will have a significant impact in the way businesses use both the Internet and enterprise-level IT applications.

The phrase “Web 2.0” was first coined by Darcy DiNucci in 1999 but came into notice in the year 2004 when O’Reilly Media and Media Live hosted the first 2.0 web conference.

Web 2.0 is simply a marketing strategy using one or many of the social media outlets. Those outlets are broken down into 6 different types:

In all, we can say that Web 2.0 is a compact form of technologies, people, and attitude merged together, that has created an important shift in the way we think about and use the Internet. It facilitates a number of ways to benefit business by saving time and money, and offering a new mode of interaction with customers. Though, it has advantages of emerging technologies but must be used keeping the security aspects in mind.

If you want to Make Money Blogging then you have come to the right place! Studies show that there a billion buyers out in the marketplace and maybe just 200,000 online marketers. Those stats look very promising for anybody thinking about earning an income online. So where do I start? I have compiled data from a number of sites and here is my checklist! Please note that this is a very brief guide and you may have to look up other sites.

1. BUILD A BLOG I will build my website from Blogger. People say that Blogger does not look as professional or as good as a self-hosted WordPress blog? You may opt for a Web 2.0 site if you wish but with Blogger you get a free service with a top notch system that even computer-illiterates can master.

2. NICHE MARKET What would you like to do to earn a living? It has to be something you truly love say like top golfer Tiger Woods who makes over $100 million a year! If you play and love golf your blog could be all about golf.

3. GOOD CONTENT The better the quality the better your chances of gaining regular readers! And yes, search engines love original articles.

4. MONETIZATION Begin with Google Adsense. Sign up for Adsense and you can put advertisements in your blog.

5. GET TRAFFIC Yes, until you get tons of visitors a day I’m afraid the money is not going to come in. You will now drive free traffic to your site. And that itself is another subject. Make Money Blogging will be a reality for you soon.

If you have followed the above mentioned then you are on the mark. That was the easy part. Experiment around your blog especially try adding or removing gadgets in the Blogger customize page. Make Money Blogging will soon be a reality for you!

If you’re just starting out in affiliate marketing you’ll no doubt have a huge amount of questions. Here are 7 of the more common questions I get asked.

Although some courses can be valuable for absolute beginners almost all the time all the information is freely available in the various affiliate marketing blogs and forums. Start reading and most of all start doing as nothing beats good old fashioned trial and error.

Impossible to answer. Let me give you some examples. If I was a finance affiliate then I would maybe pick OMG who are pretty much a niche network working in the money and financial sector, so good if you are in finance, but not so good for my holiday site. Without specific information about what you are looking for it’s impossible to answer, and remember programs come and go on networks, so the best network for you today may not be the same as tomorrow.

How am I supposed to answer this?| The best affiliate program will of course differ from site to site. Say for example that my best performing program right now is InterFlora, because I feature it heavily on my flower site that does a huge amount of targeted traffic. Does that mean you should promote it on your site for airport parking? Nope, of course not. Instead try asking “What is the best performing affiliate program in the airport parking sector”? Then go through the different answer you will undoubtedly get and ask why, does it have a high CPA? Does it have a low reversal policy or does it just convert really well?

Again this is impossible to answer. I operate in a few niches now that are very profitable to me, however only because I have been in these niches for years and know them inside out. For a newbie to enter would be very hard and would involve a lot of money for PPC. Even then there would be no guarantees. Don’t pick a market to promote just because you think you can rake in money from it, instead build a site about something you are passionate about and knowledgeable about.

Of course you can, lots of affiliate marketers don’t know a lot of technical information (or certainly didn’t when they started out) Thanks to sites like WordPress and Blogger you can now have a site up and running in literally minutes. This can be a good place to start for those without any tangible technical skills.

Prepare to be amazed, because although many people spend there entire lives worrying about CTR the simple fact is “As long as you are making money it doesn’t matter”. Seriously, people obsess about this but at the end of the day if you are making money then that’s what counts. I have some campaigns that have CTR rates at over 75% but earn practically nothing, and also some at less than 5% that earn me enough for a holiday each month. Look at profit and let CTR look after itself.

In my opinion 250-500. Not 10, or 100 unless they are extremely expensive clicks. Some people will argue that it should be lower but I always send at least 250-500 very targeted clicks via a PPC campaign before I can definitely say whether it will convert.

Web 2.0 can be the secret weapon of every internet marketer for building web traffic to his business. Web 2.0 is about user generated content, interactivity, socialization and content sharing, therefore it’s a very effective platform to get massive web traffic. Here are 3 simple but powerful ways to drive free targeted traffic towards your website:

 1. Blogging

Short for “web log”, a blog refers to a simple webpage consisting of brief paragraphs of opinion, information, personal diary entries, or links, called posts. Blog posts are archived chronologically with the most recent first, in the style of an online journal. Blog postings, typically updated daily, can include images, photos, links, video, audio, or simple text.

Start a free blog at a service like WordPress or Blogger and use it to promote your site. Make almost every post to link to the site. Allow your visitors to post comments on your articles. Keep your blog interactive and fresh and soon you will drive increased free traffic to your website.

 2. Squidoo

There are many user generated content websites but Squidoo is still the leader of its kind, so you must not leave it out from your web traffic building methods. Basically Squidoo lets you create a webpage named lens where you can write about any topic you like. It’s a perfect place for internet marketers to load up content and advertise their websites.

You can join Squidoo for free, and set up an endless number of lenses. Lenses are build of modules and you may customize your page as you want. Whether you are a pro or a beginner, Squidoo is a powerful way to get targeted website traffic.

 3. Social Networking

Social networking sites facilitate meeting people, finding like minds and sharing content. The most popular sites of socialization are MySpace and Facebook. They offer an interactive platform suitable for creating a network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, photos, music and videos. Your goal on social networking sites is to create an intriguing profile and to build up a huge list of friends. You may join groups interested in your niche or you can create your own group and so get a great exposure to your business.

My advise for beginners is one and the same: take instant action! Set up your blog and/or lens, socialize on other social networking sites, and you will succeed to boost web traffic!

Blogging is a popular trend to do nowadays to express opinions, share ideas and talk about the current news. Some people get into blogging not for the love of it, but instead for other reasons such as to make money or to get higher stats on the web. If you’re a beginner, there are some things you’ll want to think about before you start blogging.

First, are you blogging out of love of doing it, or just for the money? You can make money by writing posts for adsense and write target words. Sometimes it can be mundane if your target words are dry and don’t interest you. But if you can make a decent amount of money doing it, then more power to you. Be aware that you might lose your interest in blogging if you don’t have a passion to do it in the first place.

If you want to become a serious blogger, consider starting a self-hosted blog instead of hosts like Blogger and WordPress. Those hosts are nice because they are free, but if you start with them and then decide to switch over later, you’ll lose all of your subscribers. Another option is to buy your own domain name for approximately $10 and route it to your WordPress or Blogger blog. This way you don’t need your own web host, but if you do switch to one, you’ll be able to keep your domain and not lose subscribers.

When deciding on a blog layout, pick one that fits your needs and isn’t too cluttered. If there is too many sidebar content, ad banners, and distracting colors, then it will be hard to read and focus on the content on your blog. Look for attractive themes that are pleasing to the eye and easy to read content. If you are on WordPress, there are many sites that offer free WordPress themes.

Blogging is a fun hobby and when it’s done right, it can provide a place where readers can view your stuff and comment on it and therefore, create an interactive on-line site. Be sure to follow these tips as you embark on your new adventure of blogging in the virtual world.

Increase your chances of getting to the top of the SERP’s list by getting indexed and obtaining much reciprocation for innovative SEO & marketing techniques.

Use these principles for effective SEO:

1. Get your own “domain-name-dot-com/org/net”. The use of main TLD’s would be preferable but when you are trying to get locals to visit your site, you may get domain extensions that are country specific such as .uk or .us.

2. It wouldn’t hurt if you spend a few bucks on getting your own hosted domain. Free blogging domains such as blogger and wordpress can be useful for a while but that wouldn’t compare to you having your own site. Plus, you would be safe from service offers that you would find completely unessential.

3. The Meta Title should not bear the domain name. It should not be more than 60 characters and using the business name as title is most preferable.

4. Never begin a promise lead of 58 characters

5. Use wordtracker.com to find keywords that would suite your site.

5. Make sure that your website has corresponding robots tag. The robots.txt file must also be in your server’s root.

6. See to it that you have a site map page and 404 pages.

7. CSS would be a better alternative for size, color, and font tags. Also, keep in mind that text links are always better than link buttons or js links.

8. Use your keywords in the alt tags of images. It’s best to hold the H1 tag for author headings.

9. Eliminate the java script and make it as an external file. The file must not be more than 100 k.

10. You may now submit your place to ODP but select sites like Yahoo Dir, and other free directories such as gimpsy.com and goguides.org etc.

11. Aim to get as many significant links as you can, understand how search engines work.

12. Do not use cloaking and spamming and better to use portal pages. Concentrate on the content.

13. Compare your positive points from your competitors on an honest level and weigh down the odds between you and the competition.

14. Organize by using Feed burner service that can keep track of feed subscribers.

15. Write original content and use reliable bookmarking sites such as Twitter.com & digg.com.

Definitely, with these tips that are basic for every SEO method, you cannot go wrong. These are the things that should be mastered if a website aims to sell.

The purpose of this brief article is to leave you with several beginner’s tips to blogging.  If you are considering starting up your own blog, you will hopefully find the following information useful.

Blogging is becoming increasingly popular these days, and it seems as though nearly everyone has their individual blog. From adolescents to seniors, everyone seems to feel the need to share their opinions with others. People may have very different reasons to create a blog, including connecting with other people who share synonymous views, sharing new knowledge, providing themselves with an outlet for their ideas and writing, and increasingly, to earn money.

There are two evenly significant concepts involved in creating and sustaining your own blog. The first is the creation of the blog itself; the second is checking that your blog stays current and does not simply fall off the grid from negligence. The second is very important if your intention in creating your blog is to make money. For many, making money is the sole function of the blog.

The first needed step to creating a blog is to sign up with a blogging service. Examples of these are WordPress or Blogger. If your aim for the blog is to establish revenue, the appearance of your blog is very important – no one will want to look at your blog if the website is unappealing to the eye. In addition, many blogging services make it simple for you to use Google Adsense on your blog, a bonus that should not be ignored if you are trying to make money from your blog.

The second step to successful (and lucrative) blogging is keeping your blog fresh by updating your blog on a regular basis with new entries and images. This will help to keep those who have seen your blog interested, so that they come back regularly. There are a couple of methods you can utilize to help you in maintaining your blog. One such method is creating a blogging schedule, or creating certain dates to add original content. It is important that you follow your schedule. This is easy to do if you write new posts beforehand, instead of waiting until the last minute. Try brainstorming and writing down all of your ideas, then pick the best idea from among them.

These tips are introduced as the tip of a very large iceberg, but can start you on your path to creating your own blog.
