Im trying to learn how to set up different types of websites, I don’t know any code, I want a regular domain name a websitename.com or .org or .net, how would someone go about doing this? Can anyone please recommend any good template sites? I thing I liked weebly.com and wordpress, but it seemed like you couldn’t get a regular domain name. Please, some one give me a basic overview, and it I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Having never used WordPress before I have decided to learn it and build my friend a website which they can manage themselves. I wondered if anyone has any advice for beginners on how to go about this? A couple of questions are below but anything additional to this is welcome.
How quickly can it be learned? I usually pick up things very fast and am confident with HTML and CSS.
Do I register in my name or my clients name, I assume clients logon to upload their data or is it done via FTP?
