Aloha! Here is the new plugin called Super Easy Comment Deleter, and that’;s exactly what it does, it allows you to delete comments from your wordpress site easily and quickly. delete comments by keyword, category, date, ip, etc.
Simply enter a word to search box. select a specific category if you like and click submit. It will then bring you to a page with a total of all the comments that contain that word and the option to delete them. Apparently on some servers, if there are a LOT of comments to delete (thousands) it may not delete them all with one click, in that case click it again until they have all been removed.
You can also search by IP (there are plugins that allow you to easily view commenter/users IP address) which is great if you had a spammer and you want to remove only his/her comments and you can search and delete all comments from one date to another, for instance delete all comments that were left over the weekend.
